Trick or Treat! Toppat leader headcanons? (Including about the politics of being leader!)
The first ever Toppat leader was a simple hat maker simply named Sir Wilford, who created the Toppat Clan as a way to escape the strict and corrupt law enforcement of that time.
The Toppat Clan never really did anything huge untill Dusty's reign, where at twenty years old he took control of the Toppats and led around ten successful bank heists which was impressive for what they had back then.
Cloudface would lead after his husband, Dusty's death, begining the tradition of Toppat leaders having their second in commands lead. He would only go on to have one successful bank heist in his short time of leading, eventually stepping down as leader and letting Reynaldo the Brute become leader.
Reynaldo would introduce more fighting into the clan, making them tougher and able to fight their enemies but also putting them at risk for being attacked back and injured or worse in fights.
Reynaldo would be killed in battle but his husband Billy G did not take his death very well and ran off somewhere with Reynaldo's body to try to bring him back by any means.
The Toppats didn't know who would be their new leader since Billy ran off, with a very young Randy deciding to declare himself leader and starting the party era for the clan.
Randy eventually realized that being leader was a mistake and was under so much stress, using partying as a way to escape the hard times and keep the Toppats happy the best he could.
After bankrupting the clan, Jaques stepped in and had Randy give up leadership, starting the eccentric era of the Toppat clan.
Jaques wasn't a bad leader by any means and was able to get the Toppats out of debt and even start up the Airship Division, but his love for the strange and paranormal eventually found him trapped in a cursed portrait frame, eventually kick starting the Paranormal Division for the Toppats and leaving the Toppats without a leader again.
Billy G happens to show back up in time to reveal that he had revived Reynaldo in a more monstrous way, who went by the new name The Revived New King, or TRNK for short.
For three months the Toppats basically lived in terror, every little thing seemed to make the beastly leader angry and TRNK's punishments being basically indescribable for the Toppats that saw.
And then TRNK's reign would end when he rampaged at what should of been an innocent Toppat school ceremony, many people would be killed or heavily injured including Sir Wilford IV, who was able to slay the beast and stop the rampage.
The old Airship was left at an old Toppat base and Billy G would take on leadership out of guilt, getting the Toppats a new Airship and attempting to start a new pacifist age for the Toppats.
After a few years however, Wilford's injuries had healed and dethroned Billy G in a duel, starting up what would be known as dethronement ceremonies and becoming leader for the Toppats as Billy G would barely survive the duel and would go on to take on the new identity of Gadget Gabe.
Wilford's reign was one of the strongest the Toppats ever had, with the Toppats being at one of their highest peaks.
And then Wilford was lost in battle, forcing an unprepared Terrence to try to lead thanks to the Elites enforcing the second in command being next in line for leadership.
Terrence's reign was bad, the leader head deep into stress and not even having a second in command to help him deal with things.
Reginald Copperbottom eventually decided to step in and challenge Terrence to a duel, Terrence losing on purpose and letting Reginald become leader as Terrence would go on to live in a small home back in Canada with Randy.
Reginald would be known as a solid good leader, leading for only a few years before one faithful day involving a Government helicopter and a certain thief.
