The Story:

“SNP MP admits she brought Covid-19 into Parliament.

Margaret Ferrier felt ill; took a test; before result came back, travelled to Westminster; then result came back positive.

She found out on MONDAY she was positive - she has only said this publicly today ie THURSDAY.

Commons authorities not confirming when they found out Margaret Ferrier had attended Parliament while infectious....

Senior SNP official tells me party only found out today that Ferrier had broken the rules by failing to self-isolate when she should have. Sounds like she tried to keep it quiet for 3 days.

Update: Commons and SNP were told on *Wednesday* that Ferrier had tested positive. One close contact in Westminster was identified and is now self-isolating.

Sounds like they knew yesterday she was ill but did not realise she had broken rules and tried to cover it up until today.
