It’s been quite a long time since we all are house arrest. Not an easy job for kids to manage the whole situation by understanding each and every detail of the pandemic that is being fed to them. Every now an then theres a new piece of information and a new advice to cope with the “new normal” living standards. But somehow I found, in contrast to many “ matured” and “experienced” adults, kids have better obliged by the rules and regulations concerned with the ongoing crisis.

I have many a times seen my child giving advices on the do’s and dont’s, that too on the point. Not being able to go to school or the park to meet friends or enjoying the weather outside, technology has taken a toll on their health. So, being a parent of a five year old we have tried to keep him busy in games and chores which would not only build them up to be a self sufficient one but also not let him get bored of this quarantine. In this process of keeping him lively and engaged and not miss his previous normal life, we as a parent have also grown to some extent. I have always been his go to chef, laundryman, teacher, game partner and dancing patner but this lockdown has also made me his HAIRSTYLIST too (which I never thought I could be).

When I used to take him to salons before, I never understood how much patience the guy required to groom his hair by keeping him in place. I do now sympathise with the guy very much. I could barely kèep him seated at a place and after a war like situation for an hour or two, the hair finally settled. Can you imagine with such an amateur hairstylist and a hyperactive munchkin what a scene it might have been.
