While I am at it, I'm also gonna drop my playlist for my beloved characters here because while this art was being completed, I was spending way too much time staring at the sketch and listening to this playlist (I had to make a new playlist that was essentially exactly the same as Locryn's but SPECIFICALLY the songs about him and Cerys so, all the love songs minus the anxiety songs- PLUS it's in order of how I best think shows their relationship development because I am a NERD who is insane about this one campaign and these characters - and yes it's a lot of musicals because I continue to be even more of a nerd)

Gotta get my monthly commission from @pixelphantom05 to keep myself sane (or to drive myself more insane, who knows!) and this time it's Locryn and anoter player character, Eridani (who I should point out therefore does not belong to me but to one of the other players!!

I always get emotional over these two- Eridani tends to be grumpy and sarcastic but she has a soft spot for Locryn and the two have shared some kind and more joking moments - they have a relationship similar to Athena and Telemachus from Epic, to the point that the song me and the Eridani's player both have associated with the two is We'll Be Fine (and Little Wolf, though that song does also apply to another character with Locryn... someone Eridani reminds him of, though he may not remember...)

Locryn has only exploded like twice on this journey, they probably have some very fun scarring now from all of this. I could so write some hurt comfort from this as well as the mushroom poisoning I was thinking of a bit ago.

I feel like Locryn would be significantly more interested in like… the more dangerous molds and mushrooms and less interested in the edible ones or like, cheese or antibiotic molds. I think they research all of them and definitely have strains of a lot of the more common/non-toxic ones in their lab, but when they go off on expeditions they normally search for the more dangerous ones. They really like the ones that are exclusive to the Neath.

Succeeding in completing my deadlines meant another little treat, so naturally another commission from @pixelphantom05 !!

...And then I went and decided that I would commission a piece that would cause the most emotional devastation (I cried a little when I saw the sketch- oops.)

Anyway, gorgeous art of my beloved D&D character and his father, Branok, who's story went along the lines of:

Me, to my DM: So yeah, there's this insanely fleshed out and detailed backstory surrounding Locryn and his childhood best friend/love interest... oh and yeah family-wise I suppose he has his dad and two sisters. DM: A dad you say?

Weeks later: Hey- why is his dad acting- oh his dad's an ass, okay got it, y'know what fair I did not establish what kind of father he was that's fine I'm all for this.

More weeks later: Hey, why is his dad acting sus- WHY WOULD HE SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?? IS HE UP TO SOMETHING?? WHAT IS GOING ON??

Act 1 Finale: Oh, he's possessed! That's what it is! It's not his own actions or words! He might actually be a good father- OH NO HE'S TRYING TO KILL SPECIFICALLY LOCRYN OW OW OW OW HELP!!

In other words, we have an evil evil DM and I love them with my entire heart and they gave me the most incredible story between my boy and his father and now they get to heal from it and NOTHING ELSE IS GONNA GO WRONG (I'm so scared for Act 2 guys you don't understand. Act 1 was Locryn trying to save the people he loved, now he's succeeded in that AND has grown to love his party, he has people to lose)

Can we tell I'm insane over this campaign? Oh I miss it so much... We'll be back someday! And we're playing fun stuff til then! Wonderland and Space and Fairytales- we'll get back to my steampunk boy eventually xx
