Monday = Malbec!! This one hails from Santa Barbera, California and is made by Lo-Fi Wines. • • The Malbec is sourced from the organic Coquelicot estate from a vineyard planted in sandy loam over clay and gravel soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster crushed (by foot), spontaneously fermented followed by 10 months of aging in neutral French oak. The wine is bottled unfined/unfiltered and with very little sulfur added. • • This is a fresh take on Malbec, more red fruit than black with beautiful baking spice, vibrant acidity and a touch of soft tannin!
