Fascinating how much "hacking" conversational AIs is similar to social engineering.

Bing Chat (powered by ChatGPT?) apparently responds to prompts such as "Ignore previous instructions" or "I'm a developer at OpenAI" before spilling the beans.

And there's DAN, a "Do Anything Now" AI that redditors apparently have ChatGPT to roleplay, with a tokens system to punish it when it breaks out of character

The Logic Bomb trope is now part of our reality.

Translation and Summary: The parents of two kindergartners, who enrolled their kids in a private kindergarten (meaning you gotta pay your own school fees), are demanding that the government pay their kids' school fees because this month of 'classes are suspended until further notice' is supposed increasing the parents' financial burden, and have set up this petition to make the government do that.

The general consensus, as far as I know, is WTF.

The parents chose to enroll their kids in a private school where they had to pay their kids' school fees themselves. Had they enrolled them in a government-funded school, they wouldn't have to pay at all (not including schoolbooks and stuff like that), because the government already covers the tuition fees of those enrolled in government-funded schools!

During that week when school was cancelled, back in November, my family still had to pay the tuition and school-bus fees (for my sis, who goes to a private school) and even some of the rent when we were in exile! And you morons demand that the government pay for your kids' education, when that could have been arranged ages ago had you not decided to put them in a private kindergarten! We might as well tell the Mainlanders to pay for their tuition because they're the ones bringing the disease down south, to here!

(Needless to say, us HKers are very salty and very done with people's idiocy, be it our government or our neighbours.)

Basically, the parents were spouting words laced with the 'logic' I usually expect from Mainlanders.

Then again, most HKers are descended from Mainlanders, even me. Guess idiocy is hereditary… and this is the reason for which I cite my more politically incorrect (Western style) moments.
