Ero convinta da videogamer che lo schermo da cui giocare dovesse essere più grosso possibile per godere al massimo delle capacità di definizione dei giochi di ultima generazione. E, infatti, non ho fatto altro negli ultimi mesi che scervellarmi su quale nuovo televisore comprare, dando sfogo alle più sfrenate e pessime intenzioni capitalistiche.

Poi, però, la settimana scorsa, mentre i prezzi delle console e delle televisioni continuavano la loro risalita lontane dal basso della povertà, ho scoperto che si nascondeva tra i ricondizionati Amazon il cucciolo di una console portatile della Logitech: compatta, economica, con una buona batteria. L'ho accolta a casa accantonando per qualche giorno l'ipotesi di abbattere tutti i muri per piazzare in casa un mega-televisore e riscaldarmi al sole dei suoi pixel organici retroilluminati; anzi, la piccola dimensione mi permette di giocare comodamente sdraiata a letto riconducendo l'esperienza del gioco a una dimensione intima, privata, come non ne provavo dall'utilizzo del walkman negli anni '90.

Beginning To Think I Might Have Forgotten What My Music Sounds Like

Not because my Razer Carcharias (yes I have to keep copy and pasting that) were bad in any way, but because they were shorting out for, like, a year? 

I sat here fucking with my equalizer and ALL THE TINNY went away and WHAT IS DIRECTIONAL SOUND? Even in stereo mode I'm sitting here like "... does this just sound weird because I haven't been able to hear the side to side movement and fades this whole time?"
