Eugene Gordon’s New York is Everyone’s New York.
A document of New York City during the 1970s and 1980s, the Eugene Gordon Photograph Collection is a generous catalog of the vibrancy and grit of the era, from immigrant communities to Times Square sex shops; gay pride and women’s liberation movements to law and order. A Forest Hills resident, Gordon’s borough of Queens is richly represented, but he clearly made it a priority to visit as much of the city as possible.
