I don't know how this was TEN years ago today already, but my God I miss it. Such a powerful moment. Such a beautiful moment. Dare I say a moment burdened with glorious purpose. My favorite character getting nothing but massive eardrum-shatteringly loud love and respect. And Tom... being Tom. I love him so much. 😭😩🥰🥺

Part 1: Sketch @icytrickster17 I didn't forget you doll ;) I knew since I spoke to you the other day that I wanted to do something a little deeper in emotion with Loki because of how much character development he's had in his show. So, I dug through all of my old fics that I never published and found one where he moved to King Jokul's kingdom called Ravenrock where he married him and became an Avenger. But when he was upset, his Jotunn form would take over even if he tried to fight it off. Jokul fell in love with Loki because he was like himself: An ice elemental. So, he had to help him heal from the emotional trauma that came from when he found out he was lied to his entire life. The stained-glass window was actually something I was dying to try and do, and I honestly really like how it came out! One thing I knew for sure that I wanted to do was draw Loki in his "natural" state, like we saw after Freya was killed in Dark World. I thought his hair was beautiful. Plus it lends a little more to Tom himself since he has curly/wavy hair. I hope you like it my dear. I look forward to continuing this piece soon. :)

So... Here are some things we need to talk about.

1) Why is he so cute? Who allowed him to look that cute, while sleeping?

2) We want more of that in season two, right?

3) Can we talk about the way Tom slaps that damn name sticker thingy on his pec, like... Sir, stop that please. I am feeling personally attacked. Slapping a name sticker on your chest shouldn't be so erotically. Thanks.

Firstly the pleasure is all mine and I adore you and you're amazing ❤️💕

OK. You raise some very important points.

1. It's a mystery of the universe how he manages to be so unbearably hot when awake and unbelievably cute in that gif. He's just kinda perfect, really - so I guess it makes sense. But still kind of rude, like leave something for someone else. No? OK.

2. Mmmmm I have mixed feelings 😂 not that I don't enjoy some Loki skin but I'd rather see him back in a decent leather 'fit kicking some ass old school style with his sharpened wit and devious glint in his eye dialled to 11. The daggers can stay. 🗡️🗡️

3. I have never seen that gif before. Christ. Its like he's slapping it on a wall or something. Didn't even need to smooth that bad boy.

Can I raise you the question of his jaw muscles here. Wtf is that about and why does it do unnatural things to me I can't stop watching it 😂😂😂🤔🥴🥴

I saw this and immediately had to rant.

EVIL BROTHER LOKI?? The brother that saved Thor’s ass from dying on Jotunheim by alerting Odin? The brother that loved Thor so much he cried when he was banished? THAT EVIL BROTHER?

DETHRONING ODIN?? SEIZING POWER Oh yes, that’s totally what Loki was trying to do. Not like he got the throne LEGITIMATELY or anything. Oh yes, he intended for Odin to just nope out in the middle of his identity crisis. That’s why you see him screaming and crying when Odin collapses.

VILLAINOUS RULE OH YEAH BECAUSE NOT UNDOING THE ORDERS OF THE KING THAT IS STILL ALIVE IS SOOOOO VILLAINOUS

Literally the villainous thing he did was try to destroy Jotunheim which... wasn’t a thing he was doing to Asgard, but we aren’t supposed to care about Jotunheim beyond how it impacts Thor’s and Loki’s character development I guess?

Look I know it’s just a movie description to get people to watch it but COME ON.

For the ask game, has anyone asked you about Loki? 💚

1. Why I like them 

I love how conniving Loki is, how he is always like 3 steps ahead of the game, and I love how he makes all of these schemes and plans! A clever character who isn't wholly helpless is so nice to see - we get to see Loki's brains and his ornate fighting style and I really enjoy it. Plus the Shakespearean twist hiddleston puts on everything he does, it's so good! 

 2. Why I don’t 

I think he can be a little victimising of himself as times. He never really seems to acknowledge that Thor apologised to him for their childhood, and he certainly doesn't apologise for his own actions or seem to show any remorse for them. 

 3. Favorite episode (scene if movie) 

Probably that scene from Ragnarok where he sees Thor in the chair. It's such a funny little bit of bickering between them ("where's your chair?" "i didnt get a chair") and i love to see Loki act a bit looser

 4. Favorite season/movie 

Id have to say Ragnarok. I think it's really cool to see Loki as less the looming godly figure and have him mess up a few times - it adds a whole other layer to his character and provides us with some really nice quick thinking when things go wrong for him. 

 5. Favorite line 

"YESSSSSS! THAT'S HOW IT FEELS!" 

 6. Favorite outfit

 Probably his armour from the Dark World. it was so intricately put together and had just this iconic energy to it. Loved the gold accents from Avengers 1 though. 

 7. OTP

 I don't really ship Loki with anyone, but if I had to pick someone I think I'd choose Fandral. 

 8. Brotp 

Brodinsons! Love those two crazy kids 

 9. Head Canon 

Off the top of my head, I'd say that Loki leans into a bit of his jotunn heritage over time. I think he'd definitely use a few ice powers in his attacks and maybe even a prank or two. 

 10. Unpopular opinion

 I think the more hardcore loki stans really gotta stop going onto thor / taika posts and gifsets just to be rude. Like, its fine to be critical and no one has to enjoy anything but make your own post about it 

 11. A wish 

I wish Loki hadn't been killed off in endgame the way he had. I think it was such a waste of potential character interactions, and while it was a lovely bit of angst for Thor I think they could've achieved his decline without killing off Loki - and it would've been nice to see those two play off each other as well as the other avengers.

 12. An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen 

I don't really have one! I suppose if I had to dig deep down I kind of hope that they don't erase Loki's entire character growth for the series - Id like to see a return of the more anti-hero vibe 

13. 5 words to best describe them 

Sneaky, regal, stabby, stealthy, iconic
