The weekend is finally here, and you debate on leaving for your business trip to London or stay home with the kids – knowing how much is going on with them. Loki, however, has convinced you to use the time as a breather – to get your thoughts together. He even offered to pay the extra fee that it would cost if you wanted to stay for the whole week. You aren't too sure about that, but you promise that you'll let him know if you do decide to stay for a few days. The sound of taking a breather and getting your thoughts together makes you feel a little less stressed already – you won't lie about that.
However, you being gone for at least the weekend means that Loki is in charge of taking care of your five Loki mini-mes.
It goes without saying that chaos and mischief will be a large part of the weekend, but Jade seems a bit distant and distracted before it can begin. Loki walks back into the house after dropping you off at the airport, and he's met with the sight of his fifteen-year-old sitting on the kitchen bar eating popsicles – staring out the window and into the backyard.
"Hey, you," Loki softly greets his daughter – causing her to turn and look at him – forcing a smile on her face. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah," Jade sighs – letting out a chuckle when her dad gets a popsicle from the freezer and sits next to her on the bar. "Just...thinking."
"Be careful," Loki jokes as he takes a bite of the treat. Jade playfully punches him, and she rests her head on his shoulder. "Want to talk about it?"
Jade shrugs. "I guess," she agrees. "Do you really wanna hear it?"
"My love, I want to hear everything that goes through your beautiful mind," Loki assures her. "Come on...maybe I can help."
Jade chuckles. "I'm not so sure about that." Loki smiles and kisses Jade's head – using his magick to conjure two more popsicles from the freezer. Jade takes a bite of hers and begins talking. "I'm...confused."
Loki hums in understanding. "About what?"
"Me," Jade says quietly before taking another bite. "My...sexuality."
Loki nods, and Jade sits up from his shoulder – wanting to talk face-to-face with her father. "What're you confused about?"
Jade bites her bottom lip – contemplating how to word her thoughts. "I mean, it's obvious that I like girls," Jade begins, "but I don't know if I only like girls." Loki nods and urges her to go on. "Are you really sure you wanna hear it?"
"Yes," Loki laughs. "I want to hear it."
Jade sighs. "Evan is the only guy that I've ever found myself attracted to, but the reason I never had sex with him is that...well, he didn't, for lack of a better word, turn me on. That's weird, right? I mean, I found him attractive, but no matter how much he kissed me or held me...I never wanted to spread my legs."
"But with females," Loki begins – trying to conclude Jade's thoughts.
"But with females," Jade interrupts – keeping her train of thought going. "Claudia, for example...she's drop-dead gorgeous," Jade says – a smile on her face as she thinks about her ex-girlfriend. "Instantly, I was attracted to her, and the first time our lips touched...there was a fire lit inside me...and all I could think about was satisfying her, and you know...the other way."
Loki goes silent for a moment – taking his daughter's words seriously and wanting to help her in some sort of way.
"No," Loki finally speaks. "Jade...that's not weird. That's normal for a teenager, but...I understand what you're talking about because, believe it or not, I was the same exact way once upon a time."
Jade's eyes widen at her father's confession. "Really?"
"Really," Loki confirms. "I've always been...attracted to certain men, but like you, I was never sexually interested in them," Loki explains. "Like you, I've only ever been sexual with females, but I accept the part of me that finds men attractive."
"So...what does that make you?" Jade asks – feeling like her father actually understands her.
Loki smiles at his daughter. "It makes me me," he says with love in his eyes. "And it makes you you."
Loki has been doing everything in his power to give you the space you asked for, so he's turned his library-office into a makeshift bedroom – a sofa that turns into a futon for the god to sleep on. If you happen to actually need him, you know where to find him – as do your children. When Jade arrives home, she immediately walks to her dad's room – closing the door and sitting down in one of the giant, comfortable chairs.
"What do you want, Jade?" Loki asks in a flat tone. He's reading a book, and Jade tilts her head to read the title of it, but she's unable to.
"What're you reading?" she asks. Loki holds the book up so that his fifteen-year-old can read the front. "You're reading a psychology textbook?"
Loki sighs, closes the book, and puts it to the side. "What do you want, Jade?" he asks again – more irritation in his voice. "I'm rather busy."
Jade scoffs. "Doing what? Trying to psychoanalyze yourself?" Loki turns his attention to the wall of books – trying to stop the tears from coming. "Dad," Jade says softly – coming to the desk that Loki is sitting at. "Please, let me help you."
"Jade, you can't help me," Loki quickly responds.
"That's bullshit, and you know it," Jade accuses, crossing her arms and sitting on the desk. "Anytime you say something so quickly...I know it's because you've rehearsed it over and over – saying things like that over your 1,000 years of life or whatever has become a reflex, hasn't it?" Loki looks down to the desk and fidgets with a pen – clicking it repeatedly – only stopping when Jade grabs it from him. "I'm not here as your daughter, okay?" Jade continues. "I'm here as your best friend, and as your best friend, I have to tell you – you're being a goddamn coward."
Loki cocks his head at the words coming from his daughter. "Watch your mouth," he warns.
"No," Jade argues – getting angrier by the second. "You're so upset about mom...but what the hell are you doing about it? Sitting in your library, reading psychology textbooks, avoiding her by any means?"
"Your mother wants -,"
"Do you seriously believe that?! I thought you were the one that no one could deceive? " Jade yells at her father – becoming tired of his excuses. "No, Loki...she wants you to go to her – wrap her in your arms...do you honestly believe that mom prefers to cry herself to sleep, alone in her bedroom rather than speak with you?"
"Jade, I've tried to -,"
"THEN KEEP TRYING!" Jade yells at her father – lowering her voice when she notices that tears are streaming down his face. "Since when do you, the God of Mischief, give up? You know better than I do that you have to fight for the things that matter. You tried to take over the Earth because you wanted something. You can't make me believe that you're not going to fight for the love of your life."
"I...I can't keep doing this to her," Loki says with a shaky voice – looking everywhere to try to get the tears from his eyes.
Jade is silent for a moment before speaking. "Honestly, dad? I don't think you mean to do it to her...I think you mean to do it to you...," Jade admits – tears beginning to gather in her eyes as well. She walks around to the other side of the desk and wraps her arms around her father, who stands up as she approaches. "Please, go fight for mom...this – none of this is right. Everything feel so wrong."
Loki presses a kiss to Jade's head – taking a deep breath before pulling back to look his eldest daughter in the eyes. Loki gives her a sad smile as he wipes the tears away from her cheeks.
"I love you, my perfect Jade," Loki says – pulling her in for one more hug. "Thank you for bringing me back."
"I need you and mom to be back together before tomorrow morning," Jade says in a half-joking manner.
"You and me both," Loki agrees.
Jade turns to walk out of the library, but before she opens the door, she makes her dad an offer. "If you promise to talk with mom until some resolution is made, I'll watch the twins and Kaiser for the rest of the day and night."
Sticking to the schedule, Loki is up at dawn and waiting for Ainsley to join him in the backyard. Ainsley and Jade are still cuddled up in bed – having accidentally slept for too long when suddenly, Ainsley's eyes fly open, and she realizes she's about ten minutes late. Quickly and as quietly as possible, she throws on some workout clothes and makes her way to the backyard. As she's walking out, Loki is walking back up the porch stairs – coming back inside.
"Hey!" Ainsley calls out as she huffs from rushing. "Sorry, Jade and I...well...we – I overslept." Loki nods at the teenager – resuming his walk back towards the kitchen door. "Wait, are we not going to -,"
"My time isn't something to be wasted," Loki interrupts her – crossing his arms and turning around. "I have children to tend to, so if you can't be on time, then that's on you."
"Please," Ainsley begs – holding her hands together like a prayer. "I'm sorry, Loki," she apologizes. "Please, I'll do anything."
Loki shakes his head and walks inside the house. "Meet me at dusk," he says – casually calling back to Ainsley and letting the door close behind him.
At dusk? Ainsley excitedly asks herself. Why does he want to meet me at dusk? Oh my God, maybe he wants to be under the stars!
Feeling a bit better, Ainsley goes back inside and cuddles up next to Jade again – kissing her girlfriend on the cheek before resting her head on her naked chest. Later that morning, Jade and Ainsley wake up. It's ten o'clock, and the smell of fresh pancakes and bacon fills the house.
"Have I told you how much I love your mom?" Ainsley says – her voice muffled in Jade's hair.
Jade chuckles and nudges Ainsley's head up – planting a deep kiss on her lips. "Have I told you how much I love you?" she smiles – gently stroking her girlfriend's cheek.
"Not as much as I love you," Ainsley responds – kissing the palm of Jade's hand.
Jade and Ainsley get dressed and walk out into the living room. Jade immediately walks up to her mom, who's serving the fresh pancakes, and gives her a hug. Ainsley and Jade walk to the living room with their breakfast and cups of coffee and relax on the couch – Ainsley resting her feet in Jade's lap.
"Hey you," Loki says – coming up behind the sofa and wrapping his arms around Jade's neck in a hug and resting his chin on her head.
"Good morning, daddy," Jade smiles – holding up a piece of pancake on her fork for him to have. She chuckles when Loki pulls the fluffy food off the fork and walks around to the front of the sofa – sitting on the coffee table in front of the two girls.
"Hey babe," you greet your fiancé – getting a kiss as you hand him a plate of food. "How did the training go this morning?" you ask Loki and Ainsley.
"We're going at dusk instead," Ainsley quickly answers – her excitement level through the roof.
Loki shakes his head and goes back to eating his breakfast. "Ainsley overslept," he informs you with a chuckle.
"Ooo," you tsk. "Missing an appointment with Loki is a quick way to make him angry," you laugh – walking back down the hallway to get Mia from her crib. "Hi, my sweet, precious, little angel," you coo at the infant – smiling and kissing her face.
You feel hands wrap around your waist as you hold your baby.
"Am I not your sweet, precious little angel?" Loki jokes in a low voice – the smile audible in it.
You turn around and kiss the god more passionately than before when you two were in front of Jade and Ainsley. "Of course you are," you grin. After a few moments, you begin to smell the distinct odor of a dirty diaper. "I do believe it's your turn," you smugly smile at the God of Mischief – holding Mia out for him to change her. With a smug smile of his own, Loki places his baby daughter down on the changing table, and a cloud of green smoke covers her for a moment – the smell disappearing as the smoke dissipates. "Show off," you joke – rolling your eyes as you reach out for Mia to be back in your arms.
"Hey, what do ya say we get the girls to watch after Mia for a while?" Loki suggests – wiggling his eyebrows to suggest a day of sex.
You smile and kiss Loki. "I say let's go and ask them."
Jade and Ainsley instantly agree to watch Mia for a few hours – excited to take her to the park and show her adorableness off to everyone. Jade and Ainsley hold hands as Jade uses one to push the stroller with Mia in it – the baby had fallen asleep moments after they left the house. Jade looks down to see the precious infant every once in a while, and her smile widens every time.
"You really want a baby, huh?" Ainsley says with a chuckle while joining her girlfriend in looking at Mia.
Jade smiles and nods. "I do," she admits – looking over to Ainsley. "Do you ever...you know...want kids?"
Ainsley shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not sure yet," she says. "I mean, maybe if I found the right person, ya know?"
"Yeah," Jade smiles at Ainsley. "I do know."
Ainsley laughs. "I'm sorry, babe, but I'm not able to give you a baby."
"I know that," Jade laughs and rolls her eyes. "I think it's more important – especially for me – that I find the person that I would want to raise a baby with."
Jade, Ainsley, and Mia take their time getting to the park – basking in the beautiful New York weather. Once they're there, Jade and Ainsley begin to notice strange looks from other people as they walk around with Mia.
"Do you think people are looking at us strangely?" Ainsley asks Jade – her cheeks beginning to blush.
Jade smiles and sits down on a bench. "Of course they are," she says as she turns the stroller around and sees that Mia is awake and ready to play. "Can you blame 'em? We're pretty hot if I do say so myself."
Ainsley lets out a nervous chuckle and forces a smile at Jade. "I can't," she admits before getting a little more frustrated and anxious. "Babe, they're like looking at us."
Jade rolls her eyes and grabs both sides of Ainsley's face – pulling her in for a deep, obvious kiss. Instead of kissing her back, however, Ainsley pushes Jade away and looks around.
"Stop it!" Ainsley snaps at Jade.
"Baby, what did I-,"
"I can't," Ainsley cuts Jade off. "Everyone is looking at us like we're a couple of freaks."
Jade looks around and tries to figure out what Ainsley is freaking out about. "And? You're going to let other people keep you from kissing your girlfriend?" Ainsley doesn't answer, and Jade comes to a realization. "You're embarrassed to be with me." Again, Ainsley's silence speaks volumes. "You should go...I'd hate to embarrass you even more."
Jade quickly becomes distant and cold – turning her attention to Mia and ignoring Ainsley as the teen walks off back towards the house she's been staying at.
For the rest of the day, the two don't speak to one another, and the tension is obvious in the house. Loki and Ainsley head out into the backyard to work on Ainsley's magick as soon as dusk falls.
"Sweetheart," you say softly – sitting down next to Jade on the sofa. You're sitting with your legs crossed, and your left arm is resting on the back of the sofa. "Are you going to talk to her?"
Jade shrugs – focusing on her math homework. "I dunno," she mumbles. "I just don't understand why she's so embarrassed to kiss me."
You softly stroke your daughter's long hair. "I can't answer that for you, my love," you tell her. "I know you love her – it's obvious. I think the two of you should work this out when she and your dad come back inside."
"I might go outside and watch," Jade says – finally looking up from her textbook and hugging you.
Ainsley is working hard with Loki – trying to get her anger from earlier out and making up for oversleeping.
"Not bad," Loki compliments Ainsley when her much more realistic clone disappears. "You're making very fast progress. I'm proud of you."
Ainsley becomes shy suddenly – causing the God of Mischief to become slightly confused. "Thank you, Loki," she says – the compliment he had given her making her heart race. He's proud of me, she thinks to herself – trying to keep her smile under control as she stands steps in front of the god. He has to like me if he's proud of me!
Unable to control her urges any longer, Ainsley takes a chance on getting what she actually wants. Before Loki can move, Ainsley's lips are on his. Quickly, she grabs his clothed cock - a moans at the feeling of it. Loki immediately pulls away from her – his eyes wide in shock – his heart racing as he wipes his mouth of the teen's kiss.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" Loki screams at Ainsley – walking around in circles with his hands on his hips – trying to figure out what just happened.
Ainsley's eyes look to the ground. "So, you don't want me?"
"What?!" Loki hisses – staring at the teenager like she's lost her mind. "You're my daughter's girlfriend!" he reminds her – frantically running his fingers through his hair. "How the hell am I going to explain this to Jade?!"
Ainsley smiles - her heart filling with hope, "So...if I wasn't with Ja-,"
"You won't have to," Jade's voice weakly cuts Ainsley off as she walks up behind her. Even in the darkness, Loki can see her blue eyes filling with tears – the pain on her face too much for his heart to take. "You should go," Jade's voice shakily tells Ainsley – trying to hold back from crying in front of her. When Ainsley hesitates, Jade becomes enraged. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! GET YOUR SHIT AND LEAVE!"
Loki immediately comes to his daughter's side – pulling her face into his chest and wrapping his arms around her shoulders, and she finally begins to break – her knees unable to hold her body up, so Loki lets her fall to the ground and take him with her. Loki softly shushes his hysterical daughter – rocking with her and gently rubbing her back.
"I'm right here, my love," Loki whispers against Jade's head – placing a kiss on her temple. "Just let it all out."
Jade becomes numb – the ability to feel seems to have left as she breaks down in her father's arms – No more tears left to shed. Loki helps his daughter up and guides her back into the house. You watch as the father and daughter enter, but before you can ask what happened, Loki holds up an index finger – the universal signal for, "give me a minute."
Loki leads Jade into her room and helps her crawl into her bed, but as she's trying to get as comfortable as she can, she reaches under her back and pulls out something that has her in tears again.
"She left Stewart," Jade sobs – hiding her face in Loki's chest when his arms wrap back around her. Jade clutches onto the stuffed duck – the first present that Jade ever bought for Ainsley. "Dad, why did she leave Stewart?"
Loki fights to keep his own tears from falling. "I don't know, my love," he says softly – rubbing her back and kissing the top of her head. "Please...try to get some rest."
Jade shakes her head. "No," she says through shaky breaths. "I can't sleep in this bed."
"Would you like to use ours?" Loki offers up without a second thought. "Your mother and I can sleep in the living room."
Jade nods and looks at her father with teary eyes – wrapping her arms around his neck once more before getting her breathing under control. "I love you, dad."
"I love you too," Loki responds. "I'll come and check on you later, okay, sweetheart?" Loki tells Jade – giving her a warm smile as the teenager fishes for some comfortable pajamas to put on.
Jade wants nothing more than to go to sleep, wake up next to Ainsley, and breathe a sigh of relief that it was just a horrible nightmare.
In a few hours, Jade learns that there was no such nightmare – this was real life.
Loki walks back into the living room – prompting you to get up from the sofa and approach him. He looks conflicted – his thoughts clearly moving a million miles a second. Once you get close enough, Loki grabs your hand and leads you back over to the sofa. You sit across from him and try to wait for him to speak, but the silence is far too deafening.
"Loki...what happened?" you ask softly and with worry. "Ainsley came runni -,"
"Ainsley came onto me," Loki blurts out – knowing that it's better to go ahead and get it out in the open rather than beat around the bush.
Your eyes widen in shock, and your breath hitches. "What?"
Loki nods and closes his eyes – taking a deep breath and holding your hands before explaining. "Jade saw it," he tells you – your heart shattering for your daughter. "Ainsley managed to cast a realistic clone, and when I told her I was proud of her...she, uh, kissed me."
"She kissed you?" you ask with a bit of offense and anger. "Did you –,"
"Absolutely not," Loki interrupts – knowing exactly what you're going to ask. "I pushed her away as soon as I realized what she was doing – no, I didn't like it." You nod your head and pull your fiancé to your lips – wanting to get rid of any trace of your daughter's ex-girlfriend on him, but Loki breaks away before you're ready. "There's more," he whispers against your lips.
"What do you mean?" you ask – resting your forehead against his.
Loki leans back so that he can look you in the eyes as he continues to tell you the story of what happened. He's nervous – a nervousness that you've never seen before from him. "Before I was able to push her off...Ainsley, well, she uh...she thought it would be a good idea to grab me."
Tears start to gather in your eyes at his words. "What do you mean by grabbing?" Loki averts his eyes – letting a tear finally fall on the sofa cushion. "Loki...," you beg – reaching out to tilt his head up – wanting to look into his ocean eyes.
"I can't believe this is happening," Loki mutters under his breath before taking a deep breath in. Finally, he looks up at you – his eyes filled with worry and fear. "I mean that she...grabbed what belongs to you." You begin to catch on, but your eyes and desperation for a further explanation urge him on. "My dick," Loki finally confesses – the weight finally off his shoulders now that you're aware. However, he can easily see that the weight has now been given to you – your eyes expressing your hurt and anger.
You and Loki finish helping Jade move into her own apartment as she moves away to go to college.
Mischievous Life Future AU
Two months ago, you and Loki watched your first-born daughter walk across the stage – heard her name called out and felt pride when you heard she graduated with honors. For the last two years of high school, you've helped Jade fill out more college applications than you ever thought possible. Many times, her heart was broken by a rejection letter, but then, she was on top of the world when New York University accepted her into their Veterinary Program. You and Loki weren't surprised when she told you that her dream is to work with large, wild animals – be a zoo vet and take care of the more dangerous ones. Now, the two of you are helping your eighteen-year-old pack up her room and take what she'll need to live on her own in her very own apartment in the city. You made sure to make the most of her last summer before college – taking vacations and road trips all over the country. Now, it's time for you and Loki to leave your little girl and let her get settled for her first night alone in her new apartment.
"I'm gonna miss you," Jade says as she squeezes you in her arms. You're trying not to cry as you hold your baby, but when Loki joins the hug, your tears begin to flow. "Don't cry, mom," Jade pleads – wiping a tear away from your cheek. "I'm an hour and a half away."
"I know, sweetheart," you chuckle. "You just...grew up too fast, but don't ever doubt that your dad and I are extremely proud of you."
Loki moves in and gives his daughter a bear hug – squeezing her as tight as he can without hurting her. "I love you," he whispers to her – giving her a kiss on her cheek before pulling back and looking into her eyes. "If you need anything, you know all you have to do is text or call us, and we'll be here in a heartbeat."
"I know, dad," Jade says – tears beginning to fall from her blue eyes, and Loki giving her a warm smile as he wipes them away with his thumbs. "I love you."
"I love you too, my perfect Jade," Loki replies – placing a deep kiss on Jade's forehead.
It felt like an eternity before you and Loki were able to pull yourselves away – remembering that your other four kids are waiting for you to return with dinner.
"I think we did pretty good, don't you?" Loki chuckles as he drives the two of you away from Jade's apartment. When you don't respond, Loki looks over to you and notices that you're staring out the window, but in your reflection, he can see the tears flowing down your face. "Oh, my love," he whispers – reaching over to grab your hand. "Please don't cry."
You shake your head and continue to look at the passing city buildings. "Is this how it's always going to feel?" you manage to whisper. "I hate this."
Loki pulls your hand to his lips and kisses the back of it. "I know, sweetheart," he says – sympathy in his voice, "but just think about her future...how happy and successful she's going to be. Isn't that what we've wanted for her since she was born?"
"Yes," you say softly – finally turning to look at your husband. "But why does she have to be so far? Why couldn't she stay at home?"
Loki takes a deep breath. "Jade's an adult," he reminds you – those words cause more tears to fall. "She deserves to live her own life. We just have to trust that she'll keep us in it."
You nod your head. You know he's right, but it's the hardest thing you've ever had to make yourself believe. "Eight more years, and Emmy and Ivy will be gone," you scoff. "Thirteen years for Kaiser, and Mia will be gone in seventeen."
"Stop doing that to yourself, sweetheart," Loki pleads – softly stroking the back of your hand with his thumb. "We need to enjoy the time we have with them as children...not dread the future when they become adults."
Later that day, when the two of you arrive back home, the lack of one of your children's voices and the empty room that once belonged to Jade is hard to ignore. It's hard not to cry when you look in her bedroom or at pictures on the wall – your mind wondering what she's up to at the very moment. While it's true that she's not dead, she is over an hour away, and you want nothing more than to have her back in your home. You're so engrossed with looking into Jade's empty bedroom that you don't notice Loki coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist until he gives you a kiss on the neck.
"Loki, stop," you say with a cracked voice – tears still glistening on your cheeks. Loki lets you go, and you turn around to face him – his face showing his concern. "I don't like this," you shake your head – feeling yourself begin to break down again. "This feels...wrong." Almost like instinct takes over, you throw your arms around him – squeezing him as tight as you can. Loki rests his cheek on the top of your head – gently rubbing your back as you sob against him.
"She'll be alright, my love," Loki says softly – trying to soothe you as he sways back and forth. "Our daughter is smart...she's strong...just like her mother."
"And mischievous," you manage to finally chuckle against his chest, "...just like her father."
Loki's laugh vibrates in his chest, and you close your eyes to the beautiful sound.
"Why don't you go out tonight?" Loki suggests. "Go have a few drinks with some friends? Get your mind off things?"
You finally let go of your husband and wipe the leftover tears from your eyes. "That does sound nice," you admit. "Will you be alright with the kids?"
Loki tilts your head up and captures your lips – smiling against them as he playfully smacks your behind. "Go," he chuckles. "Go have some fun...but don't forget to come home to me."
You finally give him an honest smile. "Like I could ever forget my wonderful husband," you say – pulling his head down to taste his kiss once more.
You and Loki finally meet Jade's new girlfriend, and she and Loki quickly get on like long-lost friends.

Tonight, Jade's excitement is through the roof. For the first time in a long time, she actually cleaned her room, did her laundry, and has been dancing around the house. Tonight, you and Loki get to meet Ainsley – the girl that has captured your eldest daughter's heart, and the two of you have promised the fifteen-year-old can have her new girlfriend sleepover. You two aren't naïve – you know exactly what they're going to get up to in Jade's bedroom, but it's something you both know you must accept to keep her trust.
"You guys are going to love her," Jade swears as she, you, and Loki set the table – waiting for the pizza to arrive. Loki flashes you a smile – both of you thrilled for your daughter's happiness. "I promise, we'll try to be quiet tonight."
Loki chuckles. "I'm more than happy to soundproof your bedroom."
"That won't be necessary, dad" Jade rolls her eyes, but the smile on her face never falters. "We're mature enough to keep ourselves under control."
An hour later, there's a knock at the door, and Jade excitedly jumps up from the sofa and makes her way to it – taking a deep breath before opening it and throwing her arms around Ainsley.
Ainsley is absolutely beautiful – you and Loki have to admit that much. Her hair is long and dirty-blonde, her eyes are a beautiful green, and her skin is slightly paler than Jade's. You and Loki can both see the affection she has for your daughter dancing in her eyes as she holds Jade in her arms – giving her a soft kiss on her cheek before Jade lets go and motions her to come in.
"Hello," Ainsley nervously greets you and Loki as the four of you wait for dinner to arrive. "I'm so happy to finally be able to meet you two."
You and Loki take turns shaking her hand – smiling as Jade holds her other one. "We've heard a lot about you," Loki speaks for the both of you. "Jade truly cares for you."
Ainsley smiles and looks over at Jade. "As I care for her."
Fifteen minutes later, the pizza arrives, and you all sit at the table. As normal, Jade eats cheese pizza, and everyone else eats the pepperoni.
"You know," you begin – wanting to speak with your daughter's girlfriend, "we almost named Mia Ainsley," you laugh. "It's a beautiful name."
Ainsley smiles. "Thank you," she says. "My dad chose it when I was born, and my mom chose my middle name – Noelle."
"That's exactly how Jade was named," Loki chimes in. "What's your last name – if you don't mind me asking?"
"Walker," she nods as she swallows a bite of her food.
"Ainsley Noelle Walker," Jade smiles at the sound of the name. "Oh, babe, tell my dad about that thing you told me about."
Loki turns his attention to the sixteen-year-old, curious about what his daughter is talking about, and he sees Ainsley grow obviously embarrassed. "Jade, she doesn't have to if she doesn't want to," he says – trying to get Ainsley to seem less nervous.
"No," Ainsley retorts quickly – her voice growing shaky. "I – okay, so...when I met Jade, I didn't know who she was – you know...that she's your daughter," Ainsley begins quietly as she holds Jade's hand. "I understand why she waited to tell me that her dad is the God of Mischief...you know...because you're famous, I guess." Loki nods his head and raises his eyebrows – showing Ainsley that she's not wrong. "Anyway, when we were getting to know each other, I came out pretty quickly as a practicing Pagan Witch – studying rituals and spells from old Nordic texts and scriptures." Ainsley is encouraged to continue when she sees the grin on Loki's face grow wider. "After that...is when Jade told me that you...one of the Norse Gods that...worship for lack of a better word...are her father."
"That's amazing," Loki smiles – liking this new girl more and more the more she speaks. "Which type of magick do you use?" he asks casually as he takes another bite of pizza.
"Seidr," Ainsley says happily. Loki's eyes widen, and he nearly chokes on the food – prompting Ainsley to laugh. "I know I don't biologically possess it, but I've learned that it's something that can be obtained through rigorous practice and study."
Loki nods. "That it is," he tells her. "You know, Jade has never been interested in learning how to use her abilities."
"Not true, dad," Jade defends herself. "Mom, do you remember when I tricked you with my clone?"
You look to your daughter skeptically. "Yeah, when you were running around the house covered in chocolate, and I swore I was going to murder your father for teaching you so young?"
Jade proudly smiles and nods at you – the memory still vivid in both of your minds.
"Babe, if I had the chance to learn how to use magick from your dad...the God of Mischief," Ainsley begins – looking to Jade in shock and shaking her head before exhaling. "I'd be the strongest sorceress ever."
"Let me know when you want to practice," Loki laughs and shrugs his shoulders – grinning at the teen's excitement at the prospect.
"Seriously?" Ainsley asks – needing to make sure Loki's not messing with her. "Are you...I mean, I...seriously?"
"I'm going to warn you that it won't be easy," Loki explains, "but if you're willing...so am I."
"Tomorrow afternoon?" Ainsley asks eagerly – tightening her hold on Jade's hand.
Loki thinks for a second – trying to remember if there's anything he has to do. "How does noon sound?"

The family wakes up like normal, and Jade's phone isn't blown up with texts from Ainsley for the first time. The teenager actually flashes a smile to you and Loki as she walks into the living room – making her way to the kitchen for some breakfast.
"Good morning," you smile at your daughter.
Jade turns around and gives you a smile. "Good morning, mom."
"Have you heard from...she who shall not be named?" Loki asks – the sleep still thick in his voice.
"No," Jade chuckles. "Thank god."
"You're welcome," Loki tiredly responds with a smug smile on his face – a long yawn following close behind.
Jade grabs an apple and hugs the two of you before heading back to her bedroom.
"Jade seems a bit better," you say, pulling Loki in for a morning kiss – chuckling as he deepens the kiss and smiles against your lips.
Finally, the two of you break apart. "Let's hope she keeps getti -,"
"Mom! Dad!" Jade yells out – cutting Loki off – both of you turning your attention to the frantic teen as she comes back into the living room with her laptop in her arms. She sits down in the chair next to the sofa, and her eyes begin to fill with tears. "Dad, what the hell?"
Loki conjures his MacBook and opens it up – needing to know what's going on. As he does that, Jade covers her mouth as she reads the post that Ainsley has made about her and her father on Tumblr – she's finally figured out that the social media platform is where the two are discussing the situation, so naturally, Ainsley decided to join the night before and create a pinned message – spewing venom about the father and daughter. Before Loki can read the message, he receives a message from one of Jade's friends who made it their mission to stand up for her – putting herself in the way of Ainsley's wrath. Loki's eyes widen as he reads the message, and you and Jade can practically feel the anger coming from him – the room beginning to darken and the atmosphere becoming heavy. The message reads:
Kind gerir eigi endi með blooð
Loki quickly types a response, and the God of Mischief is gone in a cloud of green smoke – leaving you and Jade to wonder where he went and what the message meant to him. Jade closes her laptop and crawls over to you – cuddling up as tight as possible and crying on your shoulder.
"Mom...what the fuck could I have possibly done to her?!" Jade sobs.
You try to soothe her by running your hand through her hair. "You did nothing to her," you assure the distraught teen. "This is all her."
Loki is now on a mission – a mission back to New Asgard. Loki arrives within minutes, and he marches his way through the small city – not caring how people are looking at him. Once he arrives at the building Thor has made his home, he pounds loudly on the door – waking up his brother, who answers the door tiredly.
"Loki," Thor greets with his eyes squinted shut. "Brother, what's wrong?" Thor realizes how angry Loki is, and he opens the door up – letting his little brother walk inside and away from gazing eyes.
"That's funny," Loki angrily chuckles. "Brother," he repeats with a tsk. "It's rather strange, isn't it?"
Thor is confused by Loki's words. "Loki, what's going on? Is everyone alright?"
"That's...subjective, I guess," Loki shakes his head – pacing around the house to keep himself under control. "Do you believe that Kind gerir eigi endi með blooð?" Loki asks his brother – repeating the words of the message that had set him off in the first place.
Thor shrugs. "Family doesn't end in blood," he translates. "I mean, we're family...are we not?"
"We are," Loki confirms. "So, do you care to tell me why Jade's ex-girlfriend is taunting her with that phrase?"
"Loki, you've confused me more than you ever have before," Thor boasts – beginning to feel annoyed with the visit. "Just tell me wha -,"
"Do you have a daughter?" Loki interrupts Thor – needing to get an answer to the question as fast as possible.
Thor doesn't answer the question right away – instead, he drops his gaze down to the floor, and the puzzle pieces begin to fall together; however, he knows that Loki will not leave without an answer, so he manages to gather the courage to answer his little brother.
"Y/N wasn't the only one who cheated," Thor began. "Once she was born, her mother moved to New York to raise her alone." Loki walks angrily towards his brother – glaring at him for a satisfactory answer. Thor closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "Her name's Noelle."
