Long Path

It takes it a few seconds for the words to sink in, so much so that she knows she'll have to listen to the clip again later to make sure of the actual phrasing, but once it hits, the shock of the moment is written all over Seulgi's face. Had the MC really just announced them as the first place group? Once she sees the other girls reacting and a member of another girl group pat her on the back in congratulations before heading off the stage, she finally breaks down, a deluge of tears streaming down her face. She sees Juhee start to jump in excitement and part of her wants to too, but she's crying too hard, bowing her head forward a bit, letting her hair hide her a little, especially once she sees Juhee laugh at how much she's crying.

It was a long time coming, from her original tryout for Nova, only to end up failing, then her not getting into any companies while all her friends did from the MGAs, to the years she spent training in Sphere only to be sent to the company that didn’t want her originally, to debut only to find out that Sphere had plans for a girl group just as soon as she left, almost like they were waiting to get rid of her before they began, knowing she'd stick around if they offered that opportunity to her, then to find out her dream of being the main dancer in a group wouldn't come true by doing moving to Nova. Even with all of this, she stuck it out, put her best Seulgi (or Younggi) out there, and just did her best.

There were positives though, she got to debut with her best friend, which had been a different dream that she thought would never come true, she was growing closer to the girls all the time it seemed, and all the hard work and hardships seemed to have finally come to fruition. Sure, it was only a first-place prize on a music show, but that was always huge for a group, especially one where a lot of the girls felt underrated. She was happy to be in AND*ROMA and to share this moment with her new friends and family.
