dialogue across the sea of table
I can hear the sadness I bring to the table when I sit down
across the other sea of table
and I can only see you through my ancient brown binoculars
I have to lift them and I can see a smudge figure on the lens
I want you so close to me
that I believe if I hold the binoculars tightly around my eye
I can see you so clear as light as day.
Why can't I see you
even after we apologized
I swear I heard the tone of your voice say you miss the cherry blossom in the spring and how you wished daylight saving went back
When the white doves fly through the sky
that's when you will return to me
but our friend was nice and not kind
I often mistake the two and I continue to ask all the frequently asked questions
over and over again.
Being away from you from this sea of table
I get tired of only seeing my reflection in my own silverware
that I start to lift the fork and stare harshly
getting fired up
because why can't I trust my own magic eye puzzle reflection in my own silverware
and all the mirrors don't speak to me
the silence is so unsettling as if I might turn into someone I'm not
Remind me again why you are across the sea of table again!
What have I ever done to you to send Hades
to take over my throne
waltzing in my castle as it has business to do
and calls to make
when I have already let the cat out of the bag!
I wonder if you will ever love me
I beg of you to please bring me closer to you
I can only feel my cheek lay over the sea of table
and I can't stop looking at the reflection in the silverware
I keep twirling them around hoping it be put together if
i just squint a little tightet
and thing will become clear as day again.
I remember seeing a warm sunny day
the feeling so particular that I couldn't remember cloudy days
Tell me why you hide yourself from me?
When all I try is to give you flowers and lollipops
why do you close the door on me when I try to show you the new drawings I made?
With such dim light shining on me
no tunnel vision if the other light of the sea of table is off
all I see is my reflection on the silverware
I wish I could express what I was feeling inside to you
they're trap inside
looking for a way out
if to be human meant to suffer internally?
