It was very appropriate that the Monday Volunteers were on hand to receive a check from the estate of Don and Dolores Bichner. Although we've missed Don Bichner's presence at the Heyde Center, today we were humbled to receive a check for the Heyde Center from Don and Dolores' estate - given to us by his three of his four kids. Don Bichner was instrumental in recruiting people and helping to restore the current Heyde Center building to its current beautiful state. He was also instrumental in raising funds and installing the big flagpole in front of the Heyde Center. We receive annual disbursements for the maintenance and upkeep of the flags and flag pole from the Welcome to Chippewa Falls Flag Pole fund he established at the Community Foundation of Chippewa County. Given his love for the restoration and maintenance of the building, currently the money will be kept in the CVCA/Heyde Center's Capital Development Fund to cover emergency building repair needs or essential building upgrades that would be difficult to raise money for in other ways. #heydecenter #gratitude #legacy #plannedgiving #longlastingimpact (at Heyde Center for the Arts/Chippewa Valley Cultural Association) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzIZGGFFvVh/?igshid=wyubm4w1f8mu
