.....I had an idea for a Laputa AU..... :y
Looker-on!
The elder of the two agents scowled.
"Onlookers are to refrain from looking on Lookers or switching Lookers on. Thank you."
"Welcome back," the elder agent greeted as his housemate returned from shopping.
However, he paused to stare at what the younger officer was bringing in.
"...What is that large box for?" he asked curiously.
The younger grinned brightly. "It is a tool which will make our lives easier! I have noticed you are always cleaning in the same fashion, and that you are perhaps requiring better assistance."
"...I am perfectly content simply sweeping dust with a broom," he noted, suddenly feeling the need to guard himself.
His companion brushed him off and carried the box to the middle of the living room in order to unpack what quickly turned out to be a brand new vacuum cleaner. He happily plugged it in for testing, starting the machine and letting it roar.
"Aha! Mister Hawkshaw, look!" he beamed excitedly over the noise, lifting the piece of carpet that the vacuum was now stuck to. "With strength such as this, the house will now be much cleaner and in much less time!"
The elder agent simply eyed his partner's new toy with a scowl as he remained very comfortably hidden on the other side of the sofa.
...Which, visibly, did not go unnoticed.
"Come now, mister Hawkshaw," the officer chuckled, looking just a little bit too smug, "do not tell me you are afraid of vaccum cleaners?"
The elder agent responded by ducking with an angry Meowth hiss when the younger detective came nearer are teasingly directed his newfound weapon at him. The smirk only grew wider when he gave another teasing prod and the elder housemate ducked even farther back.
"Can you not?!" he snapped, looking at the vacuum with what appeared to be a mixed sense of annoyance and disgust. A snigger and a last prod were enough to cause the elder agent to quickly slink off the sofa and scramble his way over to the hall and stick his tongue out at the younger housemate before fleeing upstairs.
The detective grinned, proceeding to vacuum around the living room. He'd been excited about investing in a lazier solution than sweeping, but finding something he could use to poke at his partner with was probably the best thing that was going to happen that day. Ooh, this is going to be fun!
[knock-knock] Yoo-Hoo, Bellocchio!
The agent reflexively cringed and made a disgusted face before slinking away. Nope, not dealing, no way- He was gonna let Rich handle this because wow.
Whew... Thank goodness you are here, Thought Police.
"But...we are not a psychic capable of reading the minds of others??" the older agent asked, confused.
The younger sighed. "Listen, I am afraid we have no clue as to what the Thought Police is- however, we are agents of the International Police, so we can try to help you regardless!"
Bel will never, ever, miss a chance to tease the young man of the Network. Poor Rich doesn't have a chance to argue, meanwhile.
Have Bel and Rich chillin' in front of the TV.
