Happy Pride guyz!
Eh, fuck it, who even cares if the wording sucks. If anyone needs me to clear something up/clarify, just feel free to ask and I’ll explain. So, here’s the first two episodes of my Loonatics rewrite. NOTE: I’m going for a darker/more serious feel than the original show and so that might come through a bit here.
Episode 1: The Comet Cometh part 1 - The beautiful, lush, yet technologically advanced city planet of Acmetropolis is showcased, showing off all of its wonders as well as its many inhabitants.
Ace is sitting against a building, a laptop open in his lap, filling out a bunch of different equations on a webpage. When he’s called to work, he quickly submits it and heads to work without looking at the score, getting his ass handed to him. When he comes back to the computer, bruised and battered, he tells himself that he only has a year left of this before he can get himself a real job. But when he sees that he got a 57% on the assignment, he slinks to the ground in defeat.
Duck works a long and tiring morning at the pool before crawling back to his tiny, messy apartment. Only to throw on a janitor's outfit and go to work mopping up at Acme Tech University, keeping his head high and talking about his visions of grandeur as he does so. As he’s on his way there, he sees a family of ducks, with the son smiling and being carried by his dad. This makes Duck feel bad and he looks away, continuing on his way to work.
Lexi finished showing off a new routine to her director, who praises her for her brilliant work, while a couple of human girls give her dirty looks. Afterwards, as she’s walking out of the building, a shy skunk girl runs up to her and praises her for how good she is, saying that she wishes she was as good. Lexi says she just needs to keep working hard and she can be the best, only for the human girls to appear, saying she shouldn't give the skunk girl such false hope. The head human girl pokes a finger into Lexi’s chest and says that ‘animals like them should say in their place’. Lexi asks where exactly that is before the other two girls grab her and dump her into a nearby garbage can, closing the lid and locking it. Lexi bangs against it and cries out for help before curling up and crying.
Tech is up in one of the university labs, working on his latest machine, when one of his professors, a tabby cat, walks up and praises his brilliant work, admitting that he shouldn't be surprised by the man who managed to get his masters in engineering at 18. Tech thanks him and immediately goes back to focusing on his work. The professor stands there for a few moments before mention that a bunch of the other seniors were talking about going out on the town to celebrate and that maybe Tech might take a break and join them, to celebrate their accomplishments. Tech sharply says that he doesn’t have time, that he’s too busy, and his professor sighs, shakes his head, and leaves, leaving Tech alone, who suddenly looks very sad with his tail and ears drooping.
Slam is sitting in a room backstage, eating his ‘pre-fight snack’ when his manager, a bull, comes in. He explains that they came to a deal, that they could get half of the prize money if Slam threw the fight but made it look good. Slam agrees hesitantly, and his manager warns him that it better not turn out like those other times or he’s out. In the fight, Slam tries to throw it, but when the opponent insults him too much, he loses himself and takes him out, easy. Later, he gets beat up and thrown out, his manager saying that that they’re done, that Slam just can’t do anything right. Slam dejectedly gets up and slowly walks away, not knowing really where to go.
Rev is sitting at one the shop tables, looking over a letter that says his rent is overdue, before looking at another sheet that says he has two different major assignments due tomorrow. He looks really stressed out until cookie calls him over for a delivery. He begs Cookie to give him a raise, but gets told that he’ll be lucky not to get his pay docked if he’s even a second late again. Having no other alternative, he uses his newly built rocket skates to try and get there as fast as he can. Later, he walks back into his tiny apartment and throws his helmet to the ground, grumbling about being one minute late, before slumping onto his bed and putting his face in his hands.
Just then, a large, flaming meteor falls from the sky. Everyone outside looks up at it, those inside looking out their windows at the light; none of the Loonatics see it. The meteor falls into the ocean a bit away from the city and there’s a huge explosion before waves of blinding energy flow throughout the city. All of the Loonatics cry out as they’re wracked with pain and the places they’re in/around start to shake and crumble at the force.
Ace pushes a bunch of rocks off of him, not noticing the gash in his leg because of the splitting headache and the pain in his eyes. He hears someone ask if he’s ok and, when he opens his eyes, is horrified by the heat and pain, screaming in pain and shutting his eyes, before he hears screams of terror. Carefully opening his eyes, he looks ahead and is horrified to see a pile of ash and cinders and people running away from him, falling to the ground in horror and grabbing his head in his hands.
Duck wakes up to find himself in the middle of a ruined road. Getting to his feet, he looks over to where the family had been, noticing the mother and father yelling and digging through a pile of rubble. Suddenly he finds himself over there in a flash of energy, startling both himself and them. He looks at the pile of rubble and suddenly finds himself inside, finding the little boy from before with his arm trapped beneath a large rock. Duck grabs the boy and thinks about the parents before they’re next to them again, the parents holding their boy and thanking him, but he moves somewhere else before he can say ‘you’re welcome’, finding himself continuously thrown across the city.
Lexi wakes up, having been thrown from the garbage can, and holds her head and ears at the headache she has and at the loud sounds. Some people come over to her and try to talk to her but she screams in pain at how loud and noisy it is, unintentionally firing a brain blast at one of the people in her panic. The people stay away in fear as she huddles in on herself, screaming and sobbing at the pain of it all.
Tech wakes up to find that he’s been thrown from the lab, now lying out in the street below, but, to his surprise, he doesn't seem injured at all. He sits up, but then everything metallic in the area seems, suddenly, to be drawn to him. Disoriented and feeling a headache, he doesn’t really notice until a car smashes into him, filling him with agonizing pain. Some time after, some people move the car off of him and he screams out as he feels his broken body mend itself, everything reforming and pushing back into place. Once it’s finished, he just lies there and stares at the sky, sobbing in pain and horror and confusion.
Slam has a bit of a headache but otherwise seems pretty ok, turning to head back to the stadium that had fallen in on itself, hoping to find and help some people. But on the way there, he runs into his opponent who takes another opportunity to insult him. Getting angry and enraged, Slam finds himself forming a tornado of sorts, sucking the man up and throwing him far away. Stopping himself, Slam is confused and watches as people run away in fear, feeling confused and not understanding what’s happening at all, feeling tears come to his eyes.
Rev wakes up in his caved in apartment and feels a splitting headache as well as a sudden sense of panic as his mind seemingly races through dozens upon dozens of bad scenarios. Feeling panicked and like he can’t breathe, he makes to run out of the room and instead smashes into the opposite wall as he finds himself moving much faster than usual. Trying again, he accidentally runs out of the hole in the floor, falling into the lobby below. Someone comes up to him to ask if he’s ok but, when he tries to reply, everything he says is too fast and they back away, weirded out, as he shuts his mouth and wraps his arms around himself, not understanding at all what’s happening and feeling his heart hammering in his chest.
Unbeknownst to any of them, a cute little creature (a fuzzy from ‘Attack of the Fuzzballs’) on the outskirts of the city finds itself mutated into a humongous monstrosity, hungry and searching for food. (cliffhanger)
Episode 2: The Thing from Beyond part 2 - A few days later, renovations are still being done throughout the city, trying to repair damages done when the meteor hit.
Lexi is sitting on some of the steps outside Acme University, surrounded by other animal friends trying to get her to talk to them, but she just stays huddled in on herself, her ears drooped against her head. Tech walks by with a box of machine parts, meeting up with his feline professor from the last episode who thanks him for taking his time to help them work to get the city power grid back up and running, Tech admitting that it’s as much as he can do. They go quiet for a moment before his professor starts to press, asking if Tech wants to talk about what happened to him the other day, but Tech instantly, sharply insists that he’d rather not and walks away with his box, his own ears going flat. He walks by an alleyway where Rev is hiding out, a cellphone in hand which he keeps looking at worriedly while also continuously glancing out to the street. Suddenly the phone rings and he cringes, staring at it in fear for a little bit, looking almost like he’s going to answer it, before letting it ring out. When it stops ringing he lowers his head, looking guilty, until it starts back up again, startling him. He answers it and cringes at his parents’ frantic talking from the other side, waiting for them to stop talking, and hesitating to say anything himself. He tries to say something but just ends up crying into the phone, his parents trying to reassure him.
Elsewhere, Duck is pestering a nurse in a hospital, demanding to know why he hasn’t been seen yet. She tells him that, unless he’s in any life-threatening danger that he needs to go home so they can deal with patients who actually need their help. He tries to insist that he very well could be in life-threatening danger, that strange things keep happening to him and that he wants answers. He’s distracted from bothering the nurse when someone pipes up, asking about strange things. He looks over to see Ace sitting on a hospital bed, his leg all wrapped up, and demands to know who’s asking. Ace asks what sort of things, and Duck talks about teleporting all over the place and the weird little egg thingies that would randomly appear in his hands, and once again demands to know who’s asking. Ace introduces himself, Duck also doing so but far more dramatically, and Ace suggests that perhaps they’re having similar issues, mentioning his own issues with lasers coming out of his eyes. Duck complains that that sounds way cooler than his and asks if they could trade, Ace stating seriously that he’d gladly give it to Duck.
The next scene opens with the two of them walking out of the hospital, Ace limping because of his injured leg. Duck asks where they’re going and Ace points out that, while a normal doctor may not be able to help them, someone at Acme University might be able to figure something out. As they're on their way there, they notice a bit of commotion between some police and a few civillians, Slam among them. It looks like a human man is trying to complain that Slam attacked him, though Slam seems confused at the insistence. The cops don’t seem interested in Slam’s unintelligible grumbling, ready to take him away and saying ‘all you animals are the same’, until Ace steps in (Duck not wanting to get involved). Ace steps between Slam and the cops and demands to know what’s going on, annoyed when the cops refuse to look at the lack of apparent evidence against Slam and seem ready to take him in on a single man’s word. About ready to get in a fight in defense of Slam, the two suddenly find Duck between them, him grabbing the both of them before teleporting them out.
They reappear right on the steps of Acme University, surprising Lexi and her group of friends nearby, Lexi looking up at the three of them with shock but interest. Ace praises the exhausted Duck’s quick thinking, and stops Slam from thanking them, saying that it was nothing. Just then Tech, who’s walking back up the stairs but not paying attention, bumps into Ace and sends something in the box he was carrying falling to the ground. Before it could hit the ground, Rev, who’d also been heading inside, quickly runs up and grabs it, handing it back to an awe struck Tech. Ace points out that those were pretty quick moves there and Rev seems embarrassed, looking like he’s about to bolt until Ace grabs his arm, asking him if he has a minute. Rev looks panicked until there’s a sound of crashing and screams nearby, all of them looking down the street to see something of a huge monster making its way in their direction.
Without even thinking, Ace runs down into the street in front of it, glaring while getting into a fighting stance. Duck yells after him, while Tech asks if he’s insane or something. Then Ace concentrates hard, swallows past his pounding heart, and sends his laser right at the monster, knocking it back a bit. The others are shocked and surprised, until the monster moves forward again and knocks one of it’s arms into Ace, sending him flying. The others yell out and Lexi suddenly gets to her feet, ignoring the pleas of her scared friends to go with them, and instead focusing and concentrating and sending a brain blast at the monster. It turned to and started to walk in her direction, before being knocked over by another blast from Ace. He catches Lexi’s eye and salutes her before dodging out of the way of another hit. The other four watching from nearby, Slam suddenly yells out and runs forward, spinning out a tornado and getting up in the monster’s face, whacking it about. Seeing some cars nearby, Tech also runs forward and, concentrating, slams them into either side of the creature. When it lets out a loud roar, knocking all of them back, and stalks forwards to attack again, Rev gasps and runs out, running around the thing’s feet to distract it long enough for the others to get up and out of the way.
Through some clever planning that utilizes all of their powers, as well as getting Duck involved, they manage to destroy the monster, saving the day. (I’ll eventually work out all the details to it) While everyone cheers on their seeming new heroes, a hooded figure watches from the shadows. As they’re receiving praise, Ace looks to Lexi and asks who she is. (cliffhanger)

Introducing Loonatics Oc and Villain - Mallory Martian!
This is a character I have had on the backburner for a while as seen in a previous post I made back in 2024. I now feel like I have enough built on her to formerly introduce her now!
Will there be a fight between the heroes of Loonatics Rewrite? Like some kind of training or maybe even a real fight?
I do think sometimes they will train but I don't really see them getting into any actual physical fights that aren't visual gags. The image above is basically how I see the four's dynamic
Star Gazing
Forgor if I shown u guyz this image of my loonatics oc or nah
