Chapter six from my fic is up! I tried to explain more of the worlbuilding and to finally end setting things up for future chapters. I put it on the notes but I'll say it here as well, if Rev and Tech feel a little very out of character, it's because I tried to adapt their personalities to the setting but they are going to become closer to their show version as the fic progresses.

Also the rest of the team exist in this universe and they're going to be important later as well as some other characters. Rev will think about Lex, Ace, Duck and his father but there's still a lot to unpack about their relationship in this universe (not naming Slam here because he's out there in the desert!)

-Duck is literally the only one who actually CHALLENGES Ace. Their ideals clash more often than not but both can’t deny that they’re learning something from the other.

-Ace likes to tell Duck what his horoscope looks like. At first, he said purposefully bad horoscopes to mess with him, but as Duck and Ace grew closer, Ace’s horoscope sayings grew more sweet and kind.

-Duck knows that Ace wants to get a tattoo of the Loonatics symbol, so he’s been using his impeccable research skills to find a tattoo artist for Ace. He’s actually managed to find some good ones but wants to bring them up with Ace so Ace himself can choose.

-Inspired by a a few arts of Ace holding Duck, Ace likes to pick Duck up. The first time he did it was in front of the whole team, but after Duck refused to speak to him for a week, Ace slowly learned to ask for permission and do it privately. To this day, Duck ONLY lets Ace pick him up and touch him like that.

-Ace likes to give Duck rewards as gifts after a successful mission. Not because Duck is a kid, but because he knows Duck deeply cherishes the memory of physical objects and he feels that every mission should mean something to Duck…especially the harder ones when Duck is facing off against former friends like Pinkster.
