Tomorrow night is the night to check these two Parry's agaves next to Courthouse Butte. In this two image pano, the twin stalks go up. Thirty seconds in moonlight. They should be in full bloom now.

Leadville City Trail. Taking a very long interpretive trail full of gossip and history and facts about mining in the city, with an Iron Hill
Leadville, Colorado.
This loop around Leadville features dozens of interpretive signs with facts and gossip and history about Leadville. I took it with an extra excursion up to the top of Iron Hill.

Runyon Canyon Park, 2000 N Fuller Ave, Los Angeles (Hollywood), CA 90046
I’ve heard about the Runyon Canyon Park many times. It’s one of the most popular hikes in LA, so it feels safe because you’ll run into lots of people. There are also a few options within the park that allow you to vary the difficulty level of your hike. Then there are the 360 degree views. You can see downtown, the Hollywood sign, lots of mansions, Griffith Observatory, etc. It’s far enough from the traffic that you don’t hear cars driving by.
The land used to belong to a celebrity who built his estate there. The house was demolished. Go left to take the 2.7 mile loop counter-clockwise and go right for the clockwise direction. The counter-clockwise direction is harder (steeper climb up a rocky, narrow path). The loop trail takes about 90 minutes to complete and has an elevation gain of 748 feet. I spotted signs for the East Ridge, West Ridge, and Paved Fire Road. There were also some picnic benches.
Wear shoes with good traction because parts of the trail are slippery. Some of the trails are overgrown with weeds. There was a good variety of wildflowers. I spotted a lot of lizards, beetles, and flies.
I found parking about two blocks away on Fuller Ave. Interestingly, they had snacks and water by the entrance with payments by an honor system.
Dogs are allowed and should be on leash except for up near the top in the dog park area. Most people don’t have their dogs on a leash anywhere in the park. Bicycles, smoking, and alcohol are not allowed.

If you are planning to paint the exterior of your house, your first choice is do I hire a painter or do the job myself. Much more than fifty percent the cost of using an expert painter is labor so doing the occupation yourself can be a large financial savings. Portray your home is a dreaded and labor intense occupation but a small planning and hard work can produce very fulfilling results.
