BLACKFROST — The Long Dark II (Announcement Trailer)
DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION - THE DESCENT
As my initial contribution to Dopamine Week, I'd like to shout out three particular people who were wonderful windows to Rogue Trader for me, and continue to contribute to the community in wonderful ways and enriching my dash constantly:
@ronqueesha — My friend, thank you so much for finally dragging me into 40k! It's always is such a treat to see your ficlets, blurbs and prompts for Nasosi (and Yrliet), and you've also helped enrich so much of my view of the canon with your lore posts that are incredibly helpful to my own writing. I often think about the occasion where Nasosi feels Yrliet's warmth by picking up her rifle, I'm just not immune to the indirect touching and Nasosi's whole conflict that goes along with it! ❤️
@lordcaptains — I have you to blame thank for nudging me towards Heinrix. Even before I could enjoy him from my own point of view, all your blurbs of him and Orica gave me such an appreciation for the character and I'm always so excited to see a new WIP, ficlet or one of your analysis of him / Orica / the pair show up in my dash. I have many favorites from you but the post ice event where Orica takes care of Heinrix is disputing for first place!
@pheedraws — You're another one responsible for making me give Heinrix a little more attention when I got the game! Every little glimpse I got and get of Livea and Heinrix is such a treat and you have such a wonderful way to write Heinrix's POV (specially as it concerns Livea). Probably exposing my whole ass self here but I sometimes randomly think of Sanctified (NSFW warning!) and get a little blushy because, whew. (And I'm making eyes at your Regicide WIP every time it shows up reaaally badly. 👀)
i'm delighted by your art of the doppelganger meeting, and now i'm wondering - what alignment is berenika?
she's an iconoclast, which is why the righteous reflection was a bit of a jumpscare for her
she wont even wear the red lipstick smh
solomorne or heinrix?
Keeping it spoiler free and very light on details for you!
Solomorne. Easily. There were so many parts of that romance where I squealed like a teenager, kicked my feet like a can-can dancer, spun in my chair, yadda yadda you get it. He and Heinrix can hit some very similar beats but are different enough in a way that really gets me and what I like in that type of romance, both in the highs and the lows. And the lows especially I feel were things I kinda felt dissatisfied with in regards to Heinrix so Owlcat letting you be genuinely in the shits with the romance was delightful. Were I tempted to make a second Rogue Trader, it would be for him.
Make me choose!

[11] Who amongst their retinue are they closest to?
Outside of her main love interest, Lilith is closest to Idira Tlass and the Haneumanns. The Haneumanns are somewhat of a given-- as Lilith is machine-touched and has an innate affinity for those within the Cult Mechanicus. They understand some of her experience and she speaks their language-- a rarity among those not formally initiated. She most enjoys sharing art and music with Abel and discussing theology with Pasqal.
But with Idira, Lilith finds her brash and candid way of interacting with others refreshing. She seems to be the only one on the ship that treats her as a full person-- and less as a walking title. Comradery, laughs and a good drink are things that she finds in Idira.
Though, if they were to meet when Lilith was an active Commissar, their relationship would be much different.
[12] Who amongst their retinue do they clash with the most?
Jae and Abelard are the two that Lilith most frequently gets into spats with. Abelard and Lilith have a similar disposition of being headstrong and unwilling to let their opinion gone unheard. There have been many occasions where the Lord Captian and her Seneschal have openly argued on the Bridge. So frequent are these yelling matches that some of the upper deck crew members have created a betting ring as to who wins the next argument and who would throw the first punch.
Jae, on the other hand, while a smart asset to have on board the Siren Song, she is fundamentally an anathema to everything Lilith has fought for in the Millitarum and her Ordo ✨️ Desertion and sedition are things that she doesn't forgive lightly, if at all. And she had made it quite clear to Jae that Lilith would have been the one to track her down and put a bullet in her head. But by the Emporer's Grace, her calling now lies elsewhere. So their relationship is strenuous at best.
