Keira was a little unsure because of Discord’s normally joking personality, but closed her eyes as he had asked anyhow. Discord snapped his fingers in order to help Keira.

Discord: Ok, you can open your eyes.

Keira: Oh my goodness! Is this one of Rarity’s designs?!

Discord: Nope. It’s one of mine. I thought it’d be fitting for the occasion.

Thrilled by Discord’s act of kindness, she jumped up and hugged him tightly. Keira: Oh, Discord! I love it so much! Thank you! Discord: You’re welcome, love. I’m just glad I was able to help.

Happily, the two continue to make their way to the Canterlot Art Gallery.

Every pony got settled as Mayor Mare started her speech.

Mayor: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join these two in mare-trimony.

Mayor: As I look around this room, I can only imagine how uncomfortable Cranky must be.

The ponies in the room all started to laugh a little bit as Cranky looked away nervously. Even Matilda couldn’t help but to laugh a little bit at Mayor Mare’s observation.

Mayor: But as I look around, I also see so many ponies from all trots of life, brought together by love.

Daisy: Well, while we’re on a different topic, let’s just hope this wedding doesn’t end up like the one in Canterlot. Lucia: You mean where all those Changelings came, took the place of the bride, and almost destroyed Canterlot? I really doubt that’ll happen. Weren’t they chased out though?

Daisy: I do believe so. Things would’ve been a whole lot different in the Crystal Empire if they weren’t.

Lucia: I guess you’re probably right about that. Could you imagine if the Crystal Empire was run by Changelings instead of crystal ponies? That could essentially be the newest horror story! But who would be a good author?

Daisy: Well, if you ask me, I think that-

Just as Daisy was about to finish her thought, Octavia came rushing in out of nowhere.

Octavia: Excuse, but have either of you seen a Vinyl Scratch? Better known as DJ Pon-Three?

Daisy: Um, I don’t believe so.

Lucia: I know of her, but I’ve not seen her around here.

Octavia: Oh, blast. She must still be at the cottage. At least I can take a walk to clear my mind before the wedding.

Lucia: I’m sure you two will come up with something amazing before then!

Daisy: Good luck on making your musical piece.

Octavia then ran off to see if her musical partner would be where she suspected. After she left, Lucia and Daisy went back to their walk.

Lucia: So, what were we talking about again?

Daisy: Something about a horror story?

Lucia: Oh, right! Changelings in the Crystal Empire.

Outside the town hall, DJ was waiting from some friends of his to arrive to the wedding. Shortly after he had arrived, Fuski, who was one of his friends, had come out of Town Hall.

Fuski: Oh, thank goodness you made it! Where’s everyone else though?

DJ: I’m sure they’re on their way here.

Just as DJ had said, along came Candy Quarts and Nightshade, the other friends that DJ was waiting for.

Nightshade: Hey there! See we made it just in time!

Fuski: You sure did, but we’re still missing Free. Did either of you happen to see him on your way here?

Candy: Hm... Can’t say that we have. I sure he’ll be here any minute now.

About a minute or two more of chatting, Free finally made his way to Town Hall.

Free: Hey there! Did I make it in time?

Candy: Just in time!

Nightshade: We were about ready to just go in without you.

Free: Wow, how nice of you...

Fuski: Well now that we’re all here, let’s go find a place to sit, yes?

DJ: I think that’s a great idea! Let’s go!

The next morning, Arid, Timber, and Desert all waited with Keira on the train platform for Keira’s train home. It was bittersweet going home. She missed her fiancee dearly, but she also didn’t want to leave her family yet.

Arid: Well, kid. It was great seeing you. I’m sure if your dad saw all you’ve done in the short time you were here, he’d be proud of ya.

Desert: Oh, Arid. Don’t be ridiculous. You know Lost would be proud of the kid no matter what she did.

Keira: Guys, you’re flattering me.

The train shortly pulled in, whistling as it came to a steady stop.

Keira: Well, I’ve got to go now. I’ll miss you all. Thank you for everything!

Desert: We ought to be thanking you, kiddo! You really did a lot to help the family!

Timber: We’ll see you next time, Keira! Take care!

Arid: One of these days I’ll try to make a visit to Ponyville to see ya! Until then, keep an eye on your mailbox!

Keira: I will! I love you all! See you next time!

On the way home, Keira pulled out her wedding magazine and thought about her trip in Trottingham. She was happy that she was able to find another one of her dad’s talismans, but was even more satisfied with the work she had done to help patch up her family. All in all, she was just excited to get back to Ponyville.

When Keira got off the train in Ponyville, she was surprised to see Discord and Kaliq waiting for her. Excitedly, she gave Discord a hug and pet her gecko.

Discord: Welcome home, Keira.

Fluttershy decided to check things out for herself. The more she thought about what he had said at her cottage, the more she couldn't help but to feel bad for Discord. But if Keira wasn’t going to be in the games anymore, that would probably be a negative thing for every pony else. Rainbow would feel like her pep talks had gone to waste, Rarity would have wasted her time on an outfit that would never get used, and Fluttershy would feel left out since she wasn’t a sporty pony either.

Fluttershy: I really hope Keira isn’t really thinking about giving up. I really need her to be there. She’s told me many times about how she feels left out of things, especially now that Twilight’s become a princess.

Discord: I didn’t think I ever be so emotional over a show like I was tonight. And sorry about holding on to you like a stuffed animal.

Keira: It was really nicely done! That’s for sure. I can’t wait to write to mum about how it was. And it was okay that you did that. Honestly the theater was kind of cold for me.

Discord: Well, I guess that fortunate for the both of us. Anyway, I’m starved.

Keira: Me too.

After a walk around town, they finally reached the restaurant. It didn’t seem very fancy, which was a little concerning for Discord.

Discord: Are you sue we got the right place? This doesn’t strike me as a place that would have... well, you know.

Keira: Don’t worry! It does. It’s a casual fancy restaurant meaning you can dress casually but eat super fancy food. They’re not a common thing around, but they’re supposedly really great. Shall we find our seats?

Keira’s friends understood and left in a hurry, while Suri only huffed angrily and walked away. Once every pony was gone, it was clear that Coco was really unhappy. Keira: Let me guess. Suri’s being a problem, isn’t she? Coco was scared to admit what she was feeling. She looked away from Keira and back to the pavement. Keira: You don’t have to hide anything from me. I can tell something isn’t right. I’m a friend to you, or at least I’ll be one if you let me. Suri just ran off and didn’t say anything else. Friends don’t do that to each other. I would know. I have some of the best friends a pony could ask for. Coco: Well...I know, but...I... Coco has a deep secret and make her feel so bad,

Keira could see she needed some cheering up. Just talking about friendship was getting her nowhere. Keira: Hey, Coco? If it were just you working with some pony, what kind of pony would you like to work with? Coco: I’d like to work some pony who’s nice and lets me be who I am instead of being some pony’s maid. I don’t like being called every ten minutes to do something where I have to lie about what I think about something. It’s just not...me.

Keira: I believe it. To be held down like that and to deny your true self isn’t right. I can see it though. There’s something special about you. I started to release this just by talking to you. You’re a nice friend to have around. Just remember to keep your head up, and when you are ready, you’ll stand up for what you want in life. I’ve got to go catch up with my friends.
