Review: I stayed up late to finish this one! I forgot how much I enjoyed this author. She always has a great balance of plot, romance, and writes smoking hot sex scenes. In this book, Tanna is struggling to get back on the horse, literally, after a tragic accident that led to her leaving the rodeo. Fletch is a workaholic, who has never had a life outside of his animals. At times their issues became a bit repetitive and filler (clocks in at 351 pages) but we got to check in with the four previous couples, who are all in the baby-making stage so lots of cuteness. Plus the Mud Lilies are back and those old ladies are a riot!

Out of all the McKay couples, this one always resonated the most for me. There was something so sweet and pure about Cord and AJ, they just were who they were, without any real drama. The story moves us along with the eldest McKay of Cord and Amy Jo, now going by AJ, who has been in both the previous books. AJ has finally decided to get Cord to notice her and sets her plan in motion. Cord doesn't realize she wants his love and not just his body but that is chance he has to take. It was a 'drag-you-along' story and I couldn't set it down until I saw how it all played out and the last chapter had me in tears several times

Not only did this book give us some insight into some of our favourite McKay relationships, it also has some yummy, easy to make, recipes that I am dying to try out! Spanning from the beginnings, to the middles, later on, and current, we get to see snippets of how things in everyday life happened with our beloved couples. What they did when they were starting out, how they coped with regular everyday life, and how they handled troubles that came their way. They also, because let’s face it life happens in kitchens, needed to eat, and boy oh boy, there are some recipes I was ready to set down the book and start right away! I loved every second of the stories and drooled over some of the food that will be in my belly so soon 😊
