The Encounter at Loreley

The mountain air was crisp, but the

view from the summit was enough to take his breath away. Standing above the clouds, overlooking the valley, Florian felt a rare moment of perfect stillness. Dressed in his sharpest leather, he adjusted his suspenders, his mind drifting toward the Loreley and the gathering waiting for him by the banks of the Rhine in St. Goarshausen.

Tonight was about more than just celebrating a shared love for leather—it was about the man he had been talking to for weeks. He had a date set with Felix, and the anticipation made the descent feel almost too slow. As he looked down at the winding river below, a genuine smile broke across his face. He felt perfectly at home in the high-altitude silence, yet his heart was already racing toward the party, eager to finally meet the man who had captured his curiosity.

The atmosphere at the gathering near the famous, towering Loreley rock was electric, a sea of polished leather catching the fading light of the Rhine. Florian moved through the crowd, his eyes scanning the faces, his own excitement mounting with every step.

He didn't have to look for long. Across the clearing, standing near a vantage point that overlooked the river, was a man whose profile matched the photos he’d studied so closely. It was Felix.

Felix stood by the riverbank, looking as if he had been carved from the same rugged landscape as the mountains Florian had just descended. Like Florian, he possessed a powerful, well-trained physique, his shoulders broad and his arms defined by the kind of lean, functional muscle that spoke to a life of activity and discipline. He had leaned into the same aesthetic, wearing a pair of tight, smooth, shiny leather shorts that mirrored the ones Florian favored, hugging his powerful thighs and emphasizing the strength of his build. He wore a crisp, light-colored shirt, sleeves rolled up to reveal his forearms, with a pair of matching leather suspenders draped over his chest.

Florian felt his pulse quicken as Felix turned, catching his gaze. There was a moment of hesitation, a silent recognition that surged through the air between them, more vivid than any text they had exchanged. As Felix offered a slow, knowing smile, the distance between them vanished. The party, the music, and the sprawling river seemed to blur into the background; all that mattered was that the wait was finally over.

My copy of "Bog Fashion" finally arrived, and there is a small part about makimg bone needles..

I was instantly obsessed. Today's dinner is sponsored by bone needle making desire

Apparently Lamb Shank is very good for needles, so that is what I bought. And the Internet said to simmer them in water for 2 hours (not boil! Apparently it does something with the fat in the bone)

I'm thinking about degreasing one of the bones and not the other to observe the difference in needle making...

All pictures are under the cut, because it is a bit gory, even though it's just making stew with extra steps...

First I cut as much meat of the bone as possible

Then I simmered it for around 2-4 hours (no idea, exactly but it was more then 2 hours)

And peeled of as much meat as I could

Then I sewed off the joints and placed it to dry!

Drew some scenes from the Path to Nowhere fic I wrote! I was thinking how funny it would be if during the part where L.L was embarassed and felt Coquelic's stare, was actually Coquelic and Sumire having a silent conversation.

Anyway, the new event was so fun! Miss Hella and her potty mouth. Our baby all grown up having adventures making me so proud. Also maybe Korryn and Bai Yi should open a new company together. The level of scamming they both could think of will be fantastic lol.
