I love Gilmore Girls but Rory Gilmore is the most selfish, entitled, unlikeable character in the entire cast. She's told repeatedly how special she is, she does whatever she wants whenever she wants, nothing is ever her fault, and she never suffers any consequences. I want to slap her. I want to throw up directly into whatever novel she's currently reading that makes her better than you.
just rewatched 6x08 and i’m obsessed with the implications of lorelai and paul anka in this episode...her watching him from the chair in rory’s room just like she did in the episode where rory broke her arm and sobbing about being a bad mother over her sick dog because rory isn’t there she isn’t there and it must be because lorelai did something wrong and she can’t do something wrong with paul anka because what if he DIES! and he could die! historically all the pets she’s owned have died and oh god what if rory dies!! what if lorelai messed up at being a mother so bad that rory doesn’t survive on her own? and other such fears... i like that luke obviously knows what she’s really rambling about when she starts crying about taking poor care of paul anka but doesn’t say anything, just kisses her forehead. yeah.
