fuck you. you are wrong
regarding the crow thing you just reblogged: the problem wouldnt be the risk of the crows eating it... touching it alone can be dangerous! birds shouldnt even be touched by an unwashed hand that recently touched a cigarette - so putting it in its mouth would be even worse. but then again, i mostly work with domestic parrots. idk if crows have better/worse immune systems, or if being out in the cities every day already exposes them to cigarette toxins
oh jeez i didn’t even think of that! very true. also the fact that it would very likely have human saliva which i’m sure a bird should not be putting in their mouth.
(i also have a feeling that if crows were to do this, they would learn to gather and break small cigarette-sized branches and put them in the feeder)
@ people: please stop smoking or pick up your dang butts!!
how is booker!! what is his favorite kind of toy? (is he a shredder? bell ringer? or just really loves fetch?) his fav snack? whens his birthday/month/ day you got him? whats he doing Right Now This Instant (sorry if these are in the faq, im on mobile)
(This is the ask I accidentally scheduled lol sorry it’s late! Here it is)
He’s doing great! I need to clean my room and put away laundry so I won’t let him fly around my room while I do that. So he’s doing his impatient cluck/chirp/dance combo.
His favorite toy is probably any kind of food-oriented foraging toy. He likes acrylic puzzles and cardboard ones the most (and unshelled nuts). He also loves bells and rattles, so we buy him those plastic cat jingly balls pretty often (those don’t last long). He’s not big into extensive wood chewing, if anything’s thicker than 3/4 to 1 inch, or doesn’t have corners, he probably won’t touch it. He’s a sennie so he loves to climb! He has a huge parrot tree and a big rope net to climb around on, and lots of swings and ladders. I’m so thankful he’s an independant bird and can entertain himself... the only real game he likes to play with me is reverse fetch.
His hatchday is in the dropdown- it’s February 15th 2015! He’ll be 3 this year! I got him on May 29th 2015! Can’t wait to celebrate his boy’s 3rd hatchday already!!!And right now he’s standing in his cage talking to me. “Yummy yummy? Yummy yummy???? Hey Rei?! Yummy yummy? Baby bird. Baaaaaby bird!! Yummy yummy? *kiss* YummyummyummYYYYY!!!!”
It’s about dinner time so he wants food lol
