The Voice of Reason | Spoken Word Poem | Rochelle LoRo I've hesitated for months to share this video, fearing controversy and misinterpretation. 👥 *BLACK PEOPLE: . I am not implying that there's a racial element to serious youth violence. I am addressing a specific community with a shared experience and also the need for unity within our community. ✊

🚢 *SHIP HOME/DEPORTATION: Written before the 2018 Windrush scandal. This is another controversial line that time proved to be true. 🤷‍♀️

Inspired by tragic events, including Charlotte Polius, Joseph Burke-Monerville, and Derek Boateng's murders. 🙏😢🕊️

Performed at Robyn Travis's book launch for 'Prisoner to the Streets' at the Hackney Empire. 📚

October 2nd, 2014, Loro’s released their 2nd album: W.A.N.D.Y

Loro’s (로로스) is a rock band who made their official debut in 2008. The band was formed back in 2005 by Doe Jae-myuong (도재명), Jinsil (진실), Kim Seok (김석), Bok Namgyu (복남규) and Ha Jane (하제인). They would play at different bars and in 2006 they released a single. Later they where joined by Choi Jong-min (최종민) and released their first album in 2008. Following their debutr they won Rookie of the Year at the 6th Korean Music Awards. They later joined Mirrorball Music, and after a 6 years of no releases they started releasing music again in 2015. ‘W.A.N.D.Y’ won them Best Modern Rock Album & Album of the Year at the 12th Korean Music Awards.

Hey there. Yesterday was a special day. I've only shared my poem, ‘PERCEPTION’, publicly twice? over the past 7 years.

Every 10th of September marks *World Suicide Prevention Day*. This day promotes worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides.

I'm just trying to do my part, I still have much room for improvement, may you be encouraged, inspired and convicted to do your part too (in whatever shape or form that may look like).
