Feelings with Loss
There are many types of loss, everyone suffers from it, whether the death of a loved one or a friend leaving suddenly.
You can end up falling into a dark void of hopelessness from fear everyone around you will slowly slip away. Fear that eventually you will be left alone, filled with emptiness and surrounded by your own past taunts.
There are so many types of loss we are all surrounded by it, the void of losing someone, of losing love. You look back one day and in place of a person you have a void you keep trying to fill. You still have all the memories to replay over and over like a broken recorded skipping in places as memories begin to fade and mold together like clay.
Losing someone in death is the worst of all, your memories are like wilting roses. The person slowly breaks down as you forget their voices and their face, never being able to repair as those parts of yourself are gone.
Within the loss of others, you can begin to lose yourself. The activities you love begin to feel foreign, you associate your hobbies with the loss. You begin to ache when you realize you have no one to share your hobbies with.
I have faced loss in many forms in my short life. I have felt the loss of death, of friends and family members walking out one day. Loss is difficult and hard live with. You can never get over lose but you can cope and keep on living and learning to love yourself slowly, day by day. No one should have to face the hardship loss brings but know you are never alone despite the void, despite the loneliness you may feel.
