When I first read Hero’s of Olympus I was so sure that Hera and Leo were going to be a big thing. I remember literally feeling like they set something up for nothing. I have never seen anyone share my thoughts on this. Listen though in The Lost Hero they spend so much time talking about Hera training Leo as a child. Her being his crazy babysitter. She was telling him to set fire and singing Greek songs to him. I get it like she trained because he was the one who was supposed to sacrifice himself and whatever. BUT what I don’t understand is they spend so much time like showing that she had this connection with Leo and I just feel like it just wasn’t really a thing after. She babysat Leo as a kid until he was like 8 okay?! She was rocking this kid and having him sleep in the fireplace. She was making him cut peppers and fight snakes. She literally pretended to be an old lady just to train this child against his mother’s wishes. But Jason is her HERO. Like yeah technically she took him but basically she just handed him over right after. She spent 8 years with this little boy. Trained him not Jason. I just have felt this could have been so interesting. Anyhow I have never seen this anywhere else so am I crazy?
