The lost tampon Dilemma : how to handle it safely and comfidently
Fun fact:
I have my period. I was absolutely wasted last night and thought that I simply forgot to put a tampon in when I went to the bathroom to change it. I brushed it off and threw on a pad. I woke up this morning to find tampon strings sitting in my underwear... Kind of strange. So I started freaking out and googling everything that could possibly be going on in my body. I have come to the conclusion that I have had a rogue tampon sitting in my vagina for the past 28 hours. Toxic shock syndrome can set in any time after 8 hours. Needless to say, my anxiety has been at one of its all time highs and I've been crying all day. I had to finger myself for the first time ever after hours of struggling with discomfort and pain (just an fyi, it's much easier to do in the shower after your body is relaxed.) I cannot get it out myself and I have to go to the gynecologist tomorrow to have it removed. I have been putting off being examined by the gynecologist for a year now as you should be examined after you become sexually active. This is probably karma smiting me for avoiding something I should have done a long time ago. (Lesson: get yourself checked before something gets stuck in there and you're too big of a pussy to fix your pussy!) This is an absolutely awful experience and I honestly would never wish it on anyone. Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow and I can be back to normal by Sunday. This fucking sucks.
