i don't think Skystar was love bombing Peakneedle, i feel like that's a bit of an extreme word to use? like overbearing maybe but it would come from a place of genuine concern i would think, not him trying to manipulate her

especially with almost seeing her get hit by a monster before, of course he'd be worried over her wellbeing wouldn't he?

You’re exactly right, but both parties see it as a hard situation, see he wasn’t love-bombing at all, but that’s not how peakneedle saw it

Peakneedle had a rough past before she formed lostclan with everyone, and she never understood affection as anything but transactional. She can’t understand him not trying to gain anything from it.

With skystar he was being a little overbearing sure, but you’re completely right. He’s a very caring cat and after having to save peakneedle and after him finding out she was expecting his kits he was becoming a little overprotective of her.

Of course, it’s just one of those situations where both parties did love each other but the situation was complicated and they didn’t work out because of past traumas or events.
