           with a hiss,   the doors to the observation lounge OPEN.    satisfaction rolls over shepard’s features as her gaze falls on the younger cerberus agent,   since she’d tried the armory first earlier on:   she’d expected that he might want to be with jacob,   somebody who might act as an older role model for the other,   but shepard’s coming to wonder whether the younger cerberus agent is more SOLITARY.   

             she’s been doing her rounds as per usual after the latest mission:   wants to check in,   see if he has any updates or whether he’s come to grow comfortable enough with her to enable him to OPEN UP a little more.   it’s like this with everybody.   shepard might not trust cerberus,   but she can at least try to get to know the people better so that she knows what she’s up against...    and even if there is an aura of mistrust about them at the moment,   it’s nothing personal.   shepard always checks in.    her crew are her down time between missions  --  that’s if she doesn’t need time alone.

          Alec never knew how to act around new people, strangers made him nervous in general, no matter who they were. When he came across the Shadowhunter that just came to the New York Institute he didn’t know what to say. Standing there stiffly, his sapphire blue eyes staring directly at the other man. Scowling at himself he clears his throat lightly, “You must be the new Shadowhunter, I’m Alec Lightwood.” He offers his hand politely, though awkwardly.

@lostlovethrice is just so great!!! kylie is so friendly and welcoming and a SUPERB writer, it’s honestly a little intimidating, but she’s so nice and mature that it’s like, WHY HAVEN’T I BEEN WRITING WITH YOU TEN YEARS AGO
