Mar's Legends of Tomorrow Rewatch!

1x02 Pilot, Part 2

Now, my first rewatch post last week is going to be the longest one of the season, since I was introducing this series and including information about Season One as a whole. And without a time ship to take me to the Temporal Zone, it would take me far too long to watch every single interview the cast and crew have ever done for this show, so I'm mostly going to be sticking with the panels/interviews that are available on the DVDs or that I've been present for. But one that I forgot to watch for last week that falls into that category is the Planet Comic-Con panel with Arthur Darvill and Danielle Panabaker from 2016! That was the first Comic-Con I'd ever gone to, and I don't know if I'd even started watching Legends yet at that point (at the time I was there for The Flash), but I remember being in that panel room. The recording of that panel only became available on Planet Comic-Con's YouTube channel a few months ago, and I'm so glad I decided to look for it! They shared a few good bits of information, including the fact that Arthur thinks the Waverider set was a lot cooler than the TARDIS set on Doctor Who. He said that the TARDIS set was very small in comparison and was only half-built, and that walking onto the Waverider set was "the most exciting thing in the world". He loved that "they have the whole ship in the room... [and] you can walk from bit to bit," and that it was "[his] own spaceship."

They also talked a bit about what it was like working with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, and Danielle Panabaker revealed that "Dom sort of likes to check in with Wentworth", asking him things like "what did you think?" due to their time working together on the show Prison Break. Arthur Darvill said they "have a psychic bond," and that "they don't even really talk that much," they just understand each other. He also revealed that "Dom's hilarious, and he's exactly like his character offscreen," which I'm sure is no surprise. He also revealed that "Victor Garber doesn't dance," in response to a question about what things were like behind the scenes, and he said that his goal for the next season was to get Victor to dance. When we get to Season Two, I'll be paying attention to the gag reel to see if he succeeded.

And on the topic of the gag reel, one of the few things from Season One that I thought was worthy of note (most of it was the actors flubbing their lines and a few clips of Arthur and Franz breaking the sets; fun to watch, but not much to talk about) was that, while filming the scene where young Marty Stein confronts his older self for stealing his particle tracker, someone ran onto the set in a panda costume during one of the takes. I haven't been able to find out who it was, and frankly, I don't think I want to know. I love that that's just something that happened on the set of Legends of Tomorrow; it's very on brand for them.

They stay in the same time and place for this whole episode, so we don't get to add anything to our list. But we do learn the exact date that this episode takes place:

Norway, October 19th, 1975

And there are a few new things I'm going to be keeping lists of! First, we have the various aliases the Legends use throughout their adventures. In this episode, we get two new aliases for Martin Stein:

The Operational Arm of Scimitar

Elon Musk (yikes... this really came out a decade ago)

And one for Leonard Snart

Amhad Ahmed Izz-Al-Din

And in a similar list, we have the first of Mick Rory's famous nicknames! In this episode, he dubs Carter:

Birdman

And perhaps the most important thing for me to keep track of, as they're the only things that can kill Vandal Savage, we find the first item from Kendra and Carter's first life as Priestess Chay-Ara and Prince Khufu:

Sara Lance Fashion Tournament: Season 1 Finale

Time to pick our big winner for season 1, which I will squirrel away until I've done the other 6 seasons and then bring back out for the final tournament.

We've got 3 finalists:

6: Pilot, Part 2 (1x02)

Young Martin Stein thinks it's pretty groovy. From one of Sara's first time travel adventures, her minidress, fur coat, go-go boots, and sunglasses.

19: Marooned (1x07)

I clearly should have labeled this maroon instead of red. I don't remember what happened in this episode and I don't think this has a shot at winning, but it's pretty classic season 1 Sara.

31: The Magnificent Eight (1x11)

The first in Sara's long line of cowgirl costumes. Yeehaw!
