I was looking at your tags on my post of Roger watching Simon's faints and saw this
And it made me think I do have a few hc about Roger and Simon's death. But i never decided which one i like more so I thought of making a poll about it.
*CW character death, violence and murder (all we already have in LotF)*
I have this hc that all the kids ran away from the beach during the rain, including Roger, but he didnt look for shelter on the Castle Rock as most of the other boys. Instead he goes to the forest and as the rain calm down he returned to the beach to take a look on the beast, finding out it was Simon. He stay there until the high tide claim Simon's body.
Roger saw it was Simon still during the "dance" and stayed on the beach during the rain watching Simon struggling on his final breaths until he died. Then he ran for shelter for the rest of the night.
Same as before but instead of just watching Simon dying Roger stab his heart in a mix of mercy to end his suffering but also because he wanted to kill someone, before looking for shelter.
Which one I could go with?
