It might be nearly winter, but in my heart it’s always Spring. These colourful leather journals with watercolour paper from my Gul-i-Peron (garment flower) collection will be listed this weekend, each journal cover is hand block printed with floral patterns, finished with a beaded Afghani good luck charm on the front and a beaded tassel on silk to tie them up. Living in Yorkshire means being surrounded by ancient dry-stone walls that are intrinsically part of the landscape here, from the Dales to the Moors, some dating back to Roman times. What I love most about them is how wildlife make cosy little homes inside the gaps, squirrels, field mice and hedgehogs, even rabbits use them to burrow under keeping the entrance to their home safe.
