Shout out to @roikiller for hooking us up with some rare fruit tree seeds last year. We recently planted our first cambucá (Plinia edulis) from that batch. The name is derived from an indigenous word for jar, cambuci, due to the tree's fruit resembling a type of water container, which some would say is "flying saucer"-shaped. Small to medium sized yellow fruit having longitudinal ridges with juicy flesh of excellent flavor, said to be akin to a mixture of mango and papaya, yum! ・・・ #growninhaiti #cambuca #ploniaedulis #rarefruit #tropicalfruit #fruittree #grownfromseed #seedswap #propagation #sharingiscaring #reforestation #diversity #agroforestry #foodsecurity #growmorefood https://www.instagram.com/p/CBNxwu9l9ST/?igshid=14xyki15dde2v
