Golden Ratio can be found when you divide a line into 2 parts & the longer part divided by the smaller part is= to the sum of A+B divided by A,which both equal 1.618

This mathematical equation has been used & perceived ever since as a symbol of balance & perfection in many fields

This ratio rules sequences, can be found in many shapes and forms and compositions, in art indeed, but in advertising too as the human desire to seek visual harmony.

If Harry and Louis include these elements are “just” methods to that PERFECTION. 🤩

I have been avoiding this… there are just too many theories that align, that makes sense or that makes none at all.

Something that the Larry world has showed me is to keep it simple, inside this crazy world… but keeping the larry language simple has given me the most accurate interpretations, so…

369 sharp time: positioned in the middle of the period from sunset to dawn. The starting and end moment of the day, of time.

The clock hands marking 3 & 6….The second hand pointing at 7 under water.

The water reaching 9, on diagonal inclination to minute 21.

Isn’t it funny?? 7 x 3 = 21

All these numbers are multiples of 3, being 3 the epicenter of everything.

3 / 1 = 3

6 / 2 = 3

9 /3 = 3

12/4= 3

21 /7= 3

But what happened with 5,6,8 & 9? Ha! 28!

The inspiration

It is inevitable to think of Dali’s clock’s art pieces as direct inspirations to this specific last merch design, which represent the notion of temporality and memory (“La persistencia de la memoria”) and the fine line between the reality of it, the perception, the conscious or unconscious concepts & experience of them. Abstract terms that provoke extra in an already surreal environment.

Dali was an icon to Escher’s inspiration, both surrealist artists that are very close to the design found in Louis’ merchandising. Art work from Escher & Durer where mathematical rules such as geometry, the fibonacci rule, golden spiral & ratio are dominant.
