i feel like there are so many loustat aus where louis is claudia’s nanny and not enough where lestat is

i mean in the show lestat taught her to drive, play piano, play chess, kill, and (although this was abusive) speak french, whereas louis taught her how to catch fireflies in a jar. plus if lestat applied for a job and found out he’d be working for armand and louis, he’d dedicate his life to homewrecking like miley cyrus herself could never believe. this would go great until loumand fight one day and louis yells “WELL I’M FUCKING THE NANNY” and armand goes “omg twinsies???”

remember how lestat plays dumb, in e1, with louis' business associates at cards.. this image got me thinking,,,

lestat playing dumb about not knowing how to play a piano so louis could teach him. getting louis to guide his hands and fingers, having him hover on his back, lean in, and correct him. you'd think this is a sexy au, but actually, lestat doesn't know how it'd backfire onto him.

louis who is just a tiny bit impatient but very soft and kind, louis who encourages and teases lestat when he misses a note. (all the while, he is missing the keys, and lestat has to bite down his own criticism and stop wincing because he is playing the part!!)

something breaking in lestat who never once had a kind teacher or anyone who taught him like he wanted to be.
