id be happy to!! :-) so ticks and other blood-sucking parasites are a really valuable source of food for reptiles and amphibians and birds! as well as small mammals, they latch onto larger animals, who usually have a longer life (so some of the nutrients in their blood wont get back ‘into circulation’ so to speak for a while), and drink their blood. the blood they drink has essential nutrients in it so when they get eaten the nutrients get put back into circulation (so tick latches onto deer and gets nutrients, then a lizard or bird eats that tick and has a meal and also passes some of those nutrients on into the soil and anything that eats it, etc. same thing for mosquitoes)

they also carry disease that, while gross and doesnt seem great, is actually really beneficial to the environment, and they are also really good environment indicators for making sure things are healthy! (too many ticks means that there is an increase in their food source, which may mean a decrease in predators, and the reverse is true too!)

My boyfriend and I had a serious talk the other day about how we both love each other very much, but we’re growing bored of doing the same things every time we see each other. I feel like this is a problem for a lot of people in their relationships. So! As a solution! I created a master list of date ideas! A lot of these ideas are specific to my city, so I will be removing my city’s name. But they should be things you can do in your area too, or if not only have to drive a short distance to do!

1. Go to art galleries in downtown [redacted]
