Check out this amazing drink that @all.equal.parts made for us this week using olive brine from @durtygurl . You can find all the details, the inspiration, recipe and more in our latest post, linked in comments below! Check it out and let us know how your drink endeavors go! 🍸🍸🍸🍸 "I’ve never been much of a dirty martini fan. I found that the addition of olive brine is such an odd juxtaposition next to a bright gin, especially your typical London Dry. Luckily, I could lean into the briney quality of the Talisker Storm to allow this salty goodness to shine through. To that I added a hefty pour of a good quality dry vermouth to add some botanicals and balance the salinity a bit. Then I finished it off with some tart cherry and saffron bitters. Think of this drink as a more balanced dirty Martini for scotch drinkers. If you aren’t a fan of sweet cocktails, or just want to try something a little off the beaten path, this one may be up your alley." 🍸🍸🍸 Drink Recipe Durty Storm : 2 oz Noilly Prat Extra Dry Vermouth 1 oz Talisker Storm Single Malt Scotch ¼ oz Durty Gurl Olive Brine 8 drops 1821 Tart Cherry Saffron Bitters 🍸🍸🍸 Add everything to a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. 🍸🍸🍸 As with every potent ingredient, you have to have a light touch with the brine. It can absolutely overpower a drink. I guess if you’re into filthy Martinis or just need to replenish your electrolytes, you should just go for it. But if you are a human that isn’t ready to dive in head-first into a salt bath like me, keep it to a ¼ oz. Maybe ½ oz if you are feeling froggy. . #connectaugusta #augustaga #supportlocal #localblogger #lovedowntown #myaugusta #downtownaugusta #keepdowntownaugustafunky #localeats #drinklocal #localaugusta #visitaugusta #loveaugusta (at Augusta, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4fMtkCl_Hd/?igshid=1x8bmwdjnm00x
