I feel like on another level Wally’s sort of looking to settle down and live a normal life and Artemis isn’t there (at least not yet).
I don't think Artemis doesn't want to settle (I kind of got that vibe from one of Greg's answers). I just think that she probably wants it all. She wants the life and the guy and everything if she had the option.

aside from which, as kids, they had really different world views. wally was idealistic and bright-eyed but artemis was cynical and jaded.
yeah pretty much. and their nurturing was just so much different.

hmmm…I’m kinda ifffy on the “Artemis wanted to go back to it” (I sort of interpreted the epis so far as “she was OBLIGATED to go back to it”) but time will tell i suppose. *shrugs*
I don't think it's fully obligation especially with her telling Dick how much she missed it. Internally, I think she just really loved it. I'm sure there was a good reason for her leaving in the first place, but it really didn't deter her from coming back to it.

Artemis also went into the hero life to prove blood did not define her and to make her own way while Wally went into the life for the thrill of being a hero :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD BUT THEY LIKE THE SAME SCIENCE (remember Greg said so :DDDDD)
that is true. their history is very different.
