But it's baby Sirius who tries and tries to hate his prejudiced parents, but will always be a momma's boy at heart. But it's baby Sirius who convinces himself that he hates his parents only to melt at the smallest show of love or appreciation from them. But it's teenage Sirius watching his parents, who were born of hate, emotionally manipulate him and willingly get manipulated anyway.
But it's Sirius who was always down on his knees begging and begging and begging his parents to look at him and see their son instead of a broken heir, and knowing it will never be enough.
