Is Mathematics really that difficult?
Mathematics is not really a difficult subject to study. Its just that mathematics needs time and practice which many people don't have. This era that we're all in believes in taking shortcuts whereas in life you have to work hard to be successful. They claim that life is too short to be wasting your time in studying a subject that you won't even pass whereas you've got all the time you need you just lack dedication and perseverance.
Many would choose maths literacy rather than pure maths. Not that its a bad choice to choose but, in tertiary institutions pure maths code 5 in pure maths is regarded as code 6 in maths lit. I advise learners that are in Grade 9 to choose pure maths first and check whether are they fit for maths before choosing maths lit without trying maths.
