Dan once again pulling a face when Phil calls them a couple made me think of their dynamic on screen. We know that Dan is privately a lover boy, but on camera he is allergic to any direct acknowledgement of their relationship. Dan says all these wild things like "That would be the first time I feel happiness" about moving to Alaska to be a lumberjack. And Phil just laughs at these jokes. But when Phil says similar things like everyone giving you an ick after long enough in a relationship, Dan reacts in a big way. It's interesting how he doesn't want to use too defining language around their relationship but when Phil jokes in any way that hints to their breakup he loses his mind too. Not to mention his jealousy.
Basically I hope that Dan will get his karma and there will be a jealous!dan moment in an upcoming video for pulling that face, we know he is down bad

it’s obvious he’s a loverboy in private, and we’ve actually gotten to see some of that on camera post hard launch!! that mukbang where he surprised phil with the desert because of the cheese debacle and then proceeded to stare at him with some of the most lethal heart eyes howell we’ve ever seen. and then other times, like in the video today, he still acts like he’s allergic to it lmao. and then he’ll be the one calling their relationship a marriage and joking about divorce.
but like you said he is down HORRENDOUSLY BAD and I’m sure another jealous!dan incident isn’t too far off. phil will find a way to ragebait him into it 💀.
