Melaleuca might not be a name you recognise but if I told you it's more common name is Tea Tree you'd know it instantly wouldn't you? 🌿 Melaleuca, or Tea Tree oil, has been used by the Aborigines of Australia for centuries. They would crush the leaves and apply it directly on the skin for a cooling effect. It has great purifying effects and really nourishes your skin and nails. 🌿 Many people recommend using this on skin irritations to clean and renew the area. I personally don't use it on cuts or grazes as I find it stings, but if there's a definite need to clean off dirt or infection, this is one I'd use. 🌿 The uses for Maleleuca are almost endless but I have used it in my face toners (works great on acne), my hair rinses and my nail oils. My nails especially love it. You could also diffuse it to clean the air and add drops to carrier oils and massage onto your body. 🌿 It's also great in my cleaning products thanks to it's antibacterial and antifungal properties. 🌿 I am all for using one oil to replace the countless toxins currently used in cosmetics and cleaners.
