In the fall, I'm going to be auditioning for The Pajama Game and I really want to be Babe (it is my senior year, PG is my faaaave, and Golden Age musicals in general are my niche lol). I was hoping you could help me find a song to audition with? I tried to look at your past recommendations, but the link for Babe wouldn't work on my laptop. Off the bat, I was thinking maybe I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, but I'm not sure. I'm a soprano with a range of A3-D6, if that's any help.

hmm its an okay one! It may be overdone. Secret Love from Calamity Jane might be better!

ferris: what’s your guilty pleasure?

the term “guilty pleasure” is one of my pet peeves, to be honest! mostly because it’s usually like “eating chocolate” or “reading fanfiction” or something you shouldn’t have to feel guilt about, you know? but, rant over, mine is probably over-indulgence in romantic comedies, particularly of the super-cheesy/borderline terrible variety.

oof ok so these two actually sort of come as a set, because they’re mother/daughter figures, but the answer is catherine of aragon and mary tudor 

dirty dancing: where were you when you first heard your favourite song?

so the song was shrike by hozier, and i was in my car, driving, on the way to work. it was grey and cold and misty and rainy, but in the way that’s sort of nice to drive through, not terrible. it all seemed to fit together sort of perfectly.
