Pyaar Dosti Hai... Pyaar Dosti Hai...? "What's love according to you?" "Love is friendship" "Haha I've heard that dialogue before. Why do you say so?" "Because I'm a big SRK fan and I've seen Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" "So that means you love all your friends, isn't it?" Nooo! I have very few friends. Can count them on my fingers A random conversation with a sweet friend got me thinking on how movies have created a whole mix of emotions. Friendship and love has often been treated and synonyms but is that a reality? We think twice before making friends. Strangers are a red flag because we don't know what intentions they might be having. Friends are therefore chosen with caution, spoken to with limits and corrected seldom. On the other hand, love seems to lose its touch because people feel they're no longer 'compatible'. With a lot of celebrity break-ups and reasons that are being given, there's one thing that comes out. Love needs friendship and vice versa. Then what makes us forget it? Maybe the thought of 'love' being confined to just romantic and 'friendship' being reserved to only people of same age group. What if we look at it this way... Love You is just to convey your affection or appreciation. Friendship is just a relationship you don't think twice being yourself in. Love can be expressed to family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, celebrities (like she loved SRK). Friendship can happen with these relations and you don't have to be formal always. This season of love, take a step ahead and break the ice. Add a bit of love in all your friendships you cherish and keep close. And add a bit of friendship in all those you claim to love. ❣️ It seems easy you think? You do it already? Well, maybe inspire someone else and be a lovely friend to people around you then. Afterall... I want to stay in constant prayer for a dear and sweet friend of mine.. I want to cry for her and I want to be strong for her. No one deserves to go through what her and her sisters are going through. I pray God keeps a firm hand on them, seeks their pain and heals. I pray for strength for her and her family. I pray they stick together and support each other in these hard times. I pray they keep their faith with the good Lord and know He has a plan for them. Amen. Please know I love you and send all of my love to you, your mother, and every single one of your sisters. You are truly a God sent gift of a friend and I hate watching you go through something so terrible. I am always here if you need to talk or cry.
