Everyday I pray to our lord and savior Adolphe Sax for making the Bass Clarinet not a piece of garbage. I pray to him that one day the Saxophone section will welcome us. God knows the Clarinets don’t like no weird winds. But the Saxes just don’t like us for some reason. I guess we’ll just forever have to be our own section. The band directors always add us in with the Clarinets or Saxophones, they never say “Bass Clarinet” (even add us with god damn tuba too). One day I hope the world will finally acknowledge our strange existence.

So my audition went terribly. My scales were awful and i played the first half of my sightreading too fast and the rest of it too slow. In my piece i played the dynamics well, but I squeaked a lot. I need a new reed too. So im probably not getting in..

I really don't want to go to zero period tomorrow, because my section leader is going to yell at me for playing the tenor sax parts instead of the bass clarinet part. flutefarts knows my struggle.
