how to wear dark academia
dark academia is not just clothing. it is the feeling of being wrapped in a novel you have loved for years. it is a palette of earth and ivory. it is softness stitched to intellect.

is it ridiculous
is it funny that when the lights are out all I can think of is you? is silly that your smile is the last thing I think of before I drift off? is it dumb to feel electric when my mom calls you my boyfriend and despite the fact we will never have a label I still want it? is it stupid that when we are laughing at some stupid joke all I can think about are the infinite amount of possibilities? Is it ridiculous that I might just love you?

she sits by the window every day, her shrill cries never getting the right attention. the small village surrounding the king’s castle assumed her broken cries were from an angry goddess, so peasants made the trek to offer her tower-shrine stacks of hay, just deceased still-borns, butchered cattle.
by morning, when the king’s cane strikes her once more across her bosom, the elite send more slaves of theirs bearing gifts to the weeping goddess who cries for attention, not prayers.
