Okay so like Jon and Tim were like besties in season 1 we all agree right? Right.

But we also all agree that our three archival assistants were besties too. Going out a lot and stuff.

So let me raise you this:

Tim would never and I mean NEVER betray Jonathan’s trust (and we all agree with that okay.) and Tim at the time would be like the only person that would hang out with Jon outside of work. And what if Jonathan already has a crush on Martin but doesn’t know how to deal with it? He doesn’t say that to Tim, but dude has a veryyy strong inkling that that might be the case; but because he wouldn’t betray his trust he also would never tell Martin or make any comments about it whatsoever

Tim also knows for a fact that Martin is heads over heels about Jon at that time as he found out one of the times when they were hanging out and Tim teased him about it.

So what if Jonathan in not knowing how to deal with his crush on Martin ends up being absolute jerk to Martin but silently does thing for him. Things he finds out through no other than Tim.

Let me give you an example: Tim finds out that Martin’s favourite tea is one specific brand and then he “casually” also mentions that in conversation with Jonathan. And so the next time they are in the office the drawer is filled with that brand of tea.

Obviously him and Sasha make a bet which one of them is going to break first and tell their feelings;

Tim tries to talk to Jonathan about it a lot as well but that’s mostly because he just can’t stand seeing his friend not knowing how to deal with his emotions
