Rescue Mission Start

The “Uraraka Yuu Super Emergency Rescue Squad” stood at the bus stop. They’d managed to get permission from the UA staff to go on a long weekend hiking trip to Mt. Daimugen, with the reasoning being that the rough terrain would be good for rescue training. Of course, rescue was certainly something they were there for, but not training.

Yayoi looked over the group. There was her, the eight other class 2-A girls, Rokku, Kicchan, and Yamikumo. Everyone had packed the basics: hiking shoes, toothbrush, and, of course, their hero outfits.

Once the bus arrived, they all piled in. The trip there was mostly quiet. Everyone was too busy going over their plan in their heads.

First, Kurosawa Tomie would use her echolocation quirk to find the entrance. Once there, Akimoto Rokku and Kamiki Miki were on door crew. They would unlock what they could, and she would melt the rest. From that point on, things were more uncertain. They didn’t know how much opposition they would face. But everyone was ready to fight so that Yuu could come home safely...

     【 The door makes an audible and jarring scrape as it slides across the floor, and from her ridiculous plight, Maite looks up.

        Blood pools between the canyons of her fingers, tarnishes the water she’s frozen on her hand in a vain effort to reduce swelling. As the uppermost layer of the ice slides and drips off of the rest of its hunk, it swirls with crimson, then darkens to a burgundy while her body staggers towards building clots with its cooling temperature.

        How she got in this position is somewhat of a blur now, reduced to white noise as a natural defense against panic. She knows she got hurt during today’s field simulation. Judging from the pebbles still studding her palms, it had something to do with debris. The chalky residue coating her hands’ callouses tells her it was part of a building that did this. The laceration to her torso is more vast than it is deep, surrounded by violet bruises, shiny like new leaves.

        Whatever happened, she got fucked up.

        Somewhere along the way, she’d ended up struggling her way right to Recovery Girl. Where the dame is, she has no clue, so she’s been trying to rectify this nightmare with mounds of crumpled gauze and a heinous amount of alcohol wipe packets.

        “Oh, uh.” Maite’s cow-like brown stare drops to her lap, where her tracksuit top has been hiked up to the tail end of her ribs. She has wads of gauze stuck to the injury. Even more are adhered to her blood-sticky fingers. “Yeah,” she says, flatly, nodding once. “Maybe that’d be a good idea.” 】

---Yep. That felt like urgency alright. Yamikumo is urgent about rescuing people, so of course Trico’s going to bust out and fetch everyone from their hilarious demise.

It only took several strides around and down to the beach before Trico found everyone. A couple of steps into the salty water, and he carefully picks up Yuu, then Rokku before chucking them up and onto his back. Then there was Yamikumo, and Katsuki, and... Deku, so he sensed...

He picked them up like pups, too, and just plopped them all on his back before finally making his way back to the guild.

She was exaggerating, that was for sure. She hadn’t done any of her homework for the day, she had been too busy playing on her phone to even care about what was due the next day and now, she found herself asking for it. She didn’t even know the other person’s name.
