Minimum wage where this was posted is $14 per hour.
They’re asking you to use your own equipment, and presumably, software. A video editing capable computer up to par with what they’re expecting, costs at least $1800. Adobe Creative Cloud is $70 per month.
That means you’ll be working 133 hours before you have any net gains. Who needs to pay rent or eat or pay for transit, right?
This job was posted by a big pharma company with a market value of BILLIONS.
How many women get beatings from there husbands who many women remain silent how many women love there children how many stick together for them how many men work over time how many are bullied how Many men take it home and abuse the ones they should love and how many men commit suicide for work that pays low wages and leads to depression and death ? #constructionsite #domesticviolence #domesticabuse #lowpay
2015 .’The Sotheby’s 2′ Camapaign. This was the day i first became involved with the United Voices of The World and one of the first photographs i took. This was a dispute that initially involved four cleaners employed by cleaning company Servest at Sotheby’s the international auction house but which then became ‘The Sotheby’s Two’ Barbara and Percy. They had been sacked by Servest/Sotheby’s for taking part in a protest demanding sick pay, holiday pay and union recognition. Sotheby’s also accused them of “deliberately trying to harm Sotheby’s”
This photograph was taken at the entrance to Sotheby’s Auctioneers on New Bond Street in Mayfair London and as can been seen heavily guarded by security with as someone put it “That weird butler guy!” standing behind. I stood straight in front of the security guard and when he looked straight down my lens i knew i had my shot “thanks thats exactly what i was after” i said to him as I walked away.

The Onion…getting a little too real.
Arts workforce is mainly low paid and female – survey
Arts workforce is mainly low paid and female – survey
I read an interesting article today in The Stage about workers in the Arts who work so hard for very little financial return.
I follow Arts funding and Arts business quite closely and was shocked to read that a whopping 86% of Arts workers are earning less than the national average of £26,884. Considering over 51% of the Arts workforce reside in London it is hard to imagine how you live a comfortable life for such little pay.
The Arts community is also extremely competitive, often requiring a decent degree and a coupe of years experience on top to get your foot in that all important door.
The fact is, everyone needs to earn a living, and while money should not be the sole incentive for working in a certain industry, it should not just be accepted that if you work in the Arts, you start off on a low wage, or voluntarily and slowly work your way up.
Recently there have been massive cuts to Arts funding and it is apparent that more Arts organisations are struggling. We even saw recently the Royal Opera House, who receive £26 million of Government funding, send out a begging letter for donations from their audience.
I really hope that the Arts industry can
become as appealing financially as any other. It would be a great shame to lose talented individuals to other industries just because they offer more security and stability.
