Today I was going into the grocery store right behind an employee who was bringing in the carts from the parking lot, and a manager stopped him and said she wanted to recognize him for everything he’s been doing since the pandemic started because he’s been working extra and streamlined how they’re sanitizing the carts and then she gave him a gift card for the store and told him to go shop on the clock before they ran out of chicken and paper towels. It was so nice to see him recognized :)
omg i love that so much :( i hope he is doing okay and all grocery store workers are doing okay! nobody signed up to work during a pandemic but especially grocery store workers <3 my heart goes out to them!

POS hour: I work in a bank, so we’re an essential service which means we’re all stressed because we can’t stay home as much as we would choose. Since we’re not letting customers inside anymore (we have a drive-thru) my boss let me bring my dog to work today. We all needed a little puppy therapy and it seemed like everyone was a little less stressed having a doggo to snuggle 🐶

I can feel the judgement, Kristen. Uncalled for.
SYGB is pure “oh yeah, cancer sucks, been there”. The Best Day is “oh hey, remember the moments that DIDN’T suck and how you’ll never have those again” and therefore is an automatic skip on January 22nd or April 15th. Or if I’ve been listening to too much early 00′s music.
When I moved to Florida, I really struggled with being so far from home and not really knowing anyone or having any friends, and looking forward to her Red Tour show here was one of the things that kept me going even though things with my job were really bad and things outside it were maybe worse. She held me together through that year, and it’s through her fandom that I first started making friends after I moved here, which gave me confidence to make friends IRL too.
I can’t imagine how scary and tough that was for you!! The power of just...looking forward to something is so wonderful. I love this so much and I’m glad it sounds like you’re doing better!
